Dancehall artist Bounty Killer through his Bounty Killer Foundation has made a generous donation of $400,000 JMD (approximately $2,560 USD) to Dancehall veteran Tiger, who recently suffered a stroke and is in need of financial assistance.

A few weeks ago, Bounty brought attention to Tiger’s health crises, stating, “This is the real concern at hand right now another fellow artiste needs help!!” The 61-year-old deejay’s daughter, Rhialty also reached out to fans and industry players for help with medical bills that included blood work and hospitalization.

Tiger, who is one of Dancehall’s living legends, suffered a mild stroke last month, which has left him with severe physical challenges. This is Tiger’s second stroke and though considered minor, has affected the left side of his body as well as his mobility.

On Wednesday, December 1, Bounty presented two checks totaling $400k to the Wanga Gut artiste on the set of Winford Williams’ weekly entertainment show, OnStage, to help offset some of his medical expenses which Rhialty previously mentioned was $8000 USD. A week ago, Bounty also shared the efforts of Rhialty as she took to fundraising via the ‘Real Helping Hands’ platform where she had raised over US$2,000 at the time.

The non-profit organisation whose tagline is “We share because we care,” the Bounty Foundation assists Jamaicans who are in need, specifically the less fortunate and the disabled.

The Poor People Governor, who with his manager Paul ‘Bankey’ Giscombe spearheaded the initiative to Tiger’s aid. According to Bounty’s Foundation, “The Killer can always be called upon to give when there is a need, especially to a fellow artiste who is facing challenges.”

Bounty subsequently shared the generous undertaking on Instagram. He wrote, “Y’all know the @bounty_foundation mantra the motto the mission is each one teach one to reach one and to share if u care🤜🏿🤛🏿.”

Bounty again tried to encourage more people to step up with donations to meet the $8000 target. “I’m appealing to anyone who can also help with this cause.”

“The foundation wishes Tiger a full and speedy recovery,” he added.

A fundraising concert led my close friend Malvo on Tiger’s behalf also took place in Atlanta, Georgia last Sunday to help the onset the costs. The event, which was held at Premier Restaurant & Lounge featured Delly Ranx, Pressure Busspipe, Rasfrazier, Little Pinchers, and Dajah. Unfortunately, Malvo disclosed the proceeds weren’t, “whole heap a money” to cover much.

So far, several individual artists and celebrities have already dug into their pockets, including Buju Banton and Ayesha Davis.

According to his daughter Rhialty, who is also a Dancehall artist, her father is not too keen about them reaching out and asking for help, but she was left with little choice. “Is me everything is on in terms of financial support and I can’t do it alone so I’ve set up a Real Helping Hands account,” she expressed.

Several fans lauded the Cant Believe Mi Eyes artist for his humanitarian effort, “Extremely proud of my DJ.. Your blessings will forever fall like rain..” said one person.

Others agreed, “I love this. Warms my heart to see this act of kindness from one Legend to the next Legend. Bless up Bounty and Tiger always🇯🇲,” and “Big up the Poor People’s Governor for being so generous to one of the mid-80s Dancehall champions, Tiger.

Bounty also shared an old interview with Tiger following a previous benefit he supported in aid of his ongoing medical expenses, he wrote.

“I attended and performed at his first fundraiser converts at pulse years ago Jamaican artiste has no love for each other simple some selfish hell fish☹️
