#Kedesha From Waterford Takes Over Twitter

Jamaican social media was abuzz over the weekend about what could best be described as a sex party that was set to take place yesterday (December 5) in Waterford, Portmore, St. Catherine.

A week before the event, a viral TikTok video of a woman advertising the party took social media by storm. It wasn’t until Sunday morning, however, that Jamaican Twitter users woke up to the words Kedesha, Waterford, and Combo, which were trending.

In the promo video, the woman who dubs herself as Shanice ‘Combo Boss’ broke down the ‘deals’ that would be available at the event.

“Two grand ($2000) if unuh want unuh h–d suck, three grand ($3000) if unuh wah f–k and unuh done know we aguh have the combo…the combo, $5000 flat. Unuh get unuh hood s–k, and unuh get f–k wid it,” she said. “Mek sure mi see everybody come out a da party yah, December 5th nah go normal bout da party yah. You done know, place to get, right a Kedesha house, Waterford…”

According to the STAR, the party did not take off as planned.  Superintendent Hopeton Nicolson, said cops visited the advertised locations to ensure that the event was not held, as it would have been in breach of the Disaster Risk Management Act (DRMA).

The promo, however, kept tongues wagging for over 24 hours, and in true Jamaican banter and satire, the memes and jokes rolled out in droves.

“Kedesha and her team assembled a town crier, got her videos, posters and got a bigger venue. The marketing of it all is fascinating to watch. Have to respect the hustle,” a Twitter user said.

“Kedesha a sell fvck and nah tell nobody fi dm (direct message) for price but you wid your half a business feel you must tell people dweet? You fava ediot,” another added.

“Hear a dawg a ask bout civil servant discount and Kedesha tell him fi f–k off,” said another user.

Others even went as far as saying the party was the icing on top of an eventful 2021. A calendar with the most controversial/trending topics for each month was posted, and a sign which read, “Welcome to Waterford” was attached to December.

Some even hinted at a possible long-term career that Shanice and Kedesha might have in the entertainment industry.

“The potential Kedesha and Shanice have rn (right now) to be promoters is INSANE! Anything dem say, people aguh gravitate towards,” the user tweeted.

After all of Sunday’s shenanigans, Shanice the promo boss (@shanice_luxurydoll) thanked patrons for the “success” of the party.

“Mi wah tell unuh thanks fi all a the support…mi thank unuh, I swear. Thank you very much. Mi party was a good good good good look. Mi nah lie, mi feel good inna miself, and me wah thank unuh cause a unuh mek this happen, a unuh mek this possible. Mi thank unuh and mi appreciate everything weh unuh do today fi mi. Who God bless, no man curse. God a back, God a front,” she said.
