Shenseea’s Back With Another Fire Freestyle: Watch
After being missing from the scene for almost a month due to a brief illness, Dancehall singjay Shenseea is back like she never left.
On Tuesday night, the Run Run singer, 25, took to Instagram to share a brief freestyle over an instrumental that appears to be from South African Xhosa rappers Soul T Idyan and Bravo Le Roux’s Bhuda La Way. Produced by Msai Beats, the song—released earlier this year—is described as “a banger that focuses on what’s happening on the streets daily.”
Shenseea’s freestyle, which she captioned “All facts. Missed me?”, was the perfect way to mark her return, in addition to recently becoming the first woman to win the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act and being nominated for a Grammy Award for her contributions to Kanye West’s Donda in the Album Of The Year category.
Confidently spitting her lyrics, whilst clad in a fierce black jacket, she began: “All who never believe inna me start clap hand clap, clap hand. Have pride suh mi nah kiss bottom bottom.”

“Some seh mi neva did a go last so long, all of a sudden gyal a copy pattern pattern. Strong suh mi logo a dragon dragon. Beat who? No mi cyaa fathom. Nuh chase after man, mi wi gi yuh beeeze but mi nuh fan. Look how much man a road waan be mi Adam Adam, on God.”
“Big big ba–y broad, pu–y fat like Peppa Pig George… so fast mi gi yuh 100k fi the shoes fi mi foot just ‘cause. Haters grudge you fi the simplest things like looks. If you work fi put down cash inna yuh books, bad or good dem still aguh suss. But I never hitch, never slow down, full a tricks, love dis like dog love a bone. Neva tun novice, neva tun clown. Was hard like ghetto yutes Downtown.”
“Now, nuff a dem waan be mi fren, true mi have money fi spend. Used to set up mi hair, now I am here— mi setting trends. Eva upfront mi nuh back back. Everything mi do mi do it big like caps lock. Got looks, got braids, talent and got cash. Time hard and mi nah bend no back shot. Yuh nuh see? I don’t see inna real life or on IG. Mi nuh see no di-k, no clit, no ni–a can spit like Chinsea Lee,” she ended.
This was not her first freestyle stint, as she stunned back in January with her rendition on Don’t Rush instrumental.
She continued on her momentum in July with a freestyle on New York-based radio station Hot 97 with DJ Funkmaster Flex. On that occasion, it was a freestyle on the Crocodile Teeth riddim, originally by Skillibeng.
It is undeniable that the dancehall act, that is eye candy for millions, can throw down solid bars. Inevitably, her Instagram comments sections and those at TheShadeRoom’s repost were filled with fellow celebrities and fans alike endorsing her lyricism for the latest freestyle.
Her former manager, Romeich Major was part of the lot. “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂 gyal you worse than cancer,” he joked.
American rapper Megan Thee Stallion joined in by adding, “YESSS”.
It is no secret that the Body singer is a fan of Shenseea, after revealing in early November that she would “definitely” collaborate with her.
Many of the comments were also about how her presence was missed on the musical scene. “Top bbc shotta is back!!! Spread d word,” said one fan.
Another said, “ 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉 Ms Lee go hard as usual 🔥🔥🔥🔥 ”
Shenseea is set to release her debut album in early 2022, under Rvssian’s Rich Immigrants label (a joint venture with Interscope Records).
