In the aftermath of Jahshii’s controversial Television Jamaica interview, producer Johnny Wonder has announced that the 21-year-old is making big musical moves, via an upcoming collaboration coming with 2015 Best Reggae Album Grammy Award winners Morgan Heritage.

The track, titled Headline Fi Front Page, also features Rytikal and I-Octane, and according to Johnny Wonder, is set for release in 2022.

“Loading… 2022…,” Johnny Wonder posted on Tuesday morning on his Instagram page where he shared the cover art for the track.

Morgan Heritage reshared the cover art on their IG page with the caption: “Loading… 2022! Who’s ready for new music?  @jwonder21st @realioctane @jahshiimusic @rytikalmiziq #HeadlineFiFrontPage.”

The collab was announced days after the TVJ interview was aired in which Jahshii had made explosive comments about the crime and corruption in Jamaica, and pointed out to veteran journalist Anthony Miller that, among other things, many overseas-based Jamaican musicians were “afraid” of collaborating with younger, less-known artists.

However, the collab with Morgan Heritage should be a huge boon for Jahshii, as the Down By the River band, has the distinction of gaining the prestigious Grammy Award over successful albums such as The Cure by Jah Cure, Luciano’s  Zion Awake, and Barrington Levy’s Acousticalevy in 2016, with their album Strictly Roots.

The band, which comprises of five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, were also nominated for Best Reggae Album in 2017 for their album Avrakedabra.

The members are Roy ‘Gramps’ Morgan, Peter ‘Peetah’ Morgan, Una Morgan, Nakhamyah ‘Lukes’ Morgan, and Memmalatel ‘Mr Mojo’ Morgan.

On Tuesday, the Cream of the Crop artist, on the heels of his Moet-swigging interview with Miller on The Entertainment Report, sought to capitalize on his newfound momentum, releasing a song titled Media, in which he sought to double down on comments which he made during the show.

In the song, Jahshii took a jab against veteran journalist Anthony Miller for airing contentious sections of the interview.

Jahshii, whose given name is Mluleki Tafari Clarke, is signed to Herah Music Productions (HMP).   Among his songs are Mula Lifestyle, Bad Energy, Time Right Now, and Superstar.   The Excelsior High School old boy, made his foray into music at age four, debuting with the song Me Name Jahshii, in 2004 which he recorded for producer Diavallan Fearon’s Builders Music label.

Jahshii entered Popcaan’s popular Unruly Clash competition in 2016 where he was the first runner-up to Rum and Boom artist Quada in the final.
