Konshens On ‘Pay For It’ With Spice: “Was It Underrated Or Overrated?”
Dancehall star Konshens has expressed his disappointment with the performance of his track Pay For It featuring the Queen of Dancehall, Spice, and music producer Rvssian.
Pay For It, which appears on the deejay’s fifth studio album Red Reign under Ineffable Records, premiered back in April and has since accumulated just over 1.4 million views on YouTube.
For Konshens however, the streams could have been higher. “Nah lie mi Swear dis did aggo change di game 👀,” he wrote on his Instagram page yesterday. He also asked followers, “Wat u think Was it underrated or overrated?”
Rvssian, who produced the song, told the Hard Drive artist that it still had the potential to do better, providing they amped up the marketing. “Promo it need Still can be,” he wrote.
The QOD later joined the conversation and agreed that the track could indeed ‘change the game’. Spice also admitted that Pay For It dropped when she was busying with other projects and could have pushed it harder.
“Big BIG Tune 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I Feel the same as your Caption, also it drop right in the middle of me promoting a million things too.” Spice wrote. Adding, “Make we promote it all over again Nuh 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
Konshens replied to Spice, “ @spiceofficial ye man in the middle of ur album promo but u still show it love tho, mi see dat an it mek mi Respek fi u go up more!! 👊🏾.”

In the music video, which was directed by Xtreme Arts, Konshens and Spice took viewers into the bustling metropolitan of Half Way Tree where they played out their affections for each other in a minibus. Rvssian brought the catchy Reggae throbbing baseline to set the tone as the two bantered about their spending.
Among Red Reigns’ 18-track collection, Pay For It is the best performing single thus far, following Boom Bang that features Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido that has racked up just over 960k YouTube views. Cant Stay Sober trails behind at 477k views.
