Jahshii Producer Killed In Police-Involved Shooting
A 28-year-old producer for Dancehall artist Jahshii, known to friends and family as Tadmar or Pod Man, was shot and killed by the police in Grants Pen, St Andrew on Tuesday evening.
The shooting took place sometime after 8pm when the police responded to reports of shots being fired. Tadmar, who hails from Cruiser Gully in Grants Pen, was killed during a confrontation.
The police have not formally identified the suspect but said that a .45 semi-automatic pistol along with three rounds were recovered.
Tadmar reportedly worked on the production of one of Jahshii’s songs, Cream of The Crop.
On Tadmar’s Instagram, there were a few users who left their condolences.
Dancehall artist Deep Jahi wrote, “Rest up g 🙏 out deh no pretty, yo wicked.”
One follower wrote, “It’s really sad that young men especially, continue to lose their lives to gun violence before figuring out what their purpose on earth is.”
Another added, “Rest well young blood. Jahshii did done tell unu seh ‘Police a corruption’ and unu think a joke.”
