Chronic Law Takes Jab At “Dollies” With New Song Teaser
Dancehall deejay Chronic Law has stepped on several toes, after posting a teaser for a forthcoming track that questions the authenticity of some women’s appearance in real life, versus social media.
The 25-second clip that was subsequently deleted is a direct hit at some women who refer to themselves as “dollies.”
“My girl, yuh ah trickster. How comes yuh batty look bigger pon Insta? Never see the chop inna yuh face with the filter; cut up like ginger,” he spits within the first few seconds.
“Right now yuh nah see no co*ky, deevn finger, trickster. Lizard skin alone mi see strip suh, trickster. Dat a camera trick, yuh don’t thick suh, trickster. Dat a nuh Tory Burch, a mussi Tory sister. And yuh nuh look like the catty pon the picture…”

The term “dolly” became popular after the debut of the Dancehall Life series on YouTube featuring popular dancers Prettii Prettii, Dancing Rebel and TC.
The intro of the weekly show which is spearheaded by Downsound Entertainment Principal, Josef Bogdanovich, sees Dancing Rebel declaring that she, “and di Dolly dem have a buzz.” Since then, many women have started to use the term to express their physical attractiveness.
Over the weekend, Dancehall’s Princess Shenseea released the track Dolly which also features the three women. The Chimney Records and Romeich Entertainment produced single arrived on Sunday (January 2).
Twitter users shared varying opinions on the Hillside deejay’s musical attack.
“Bashing the same type of woman that you actively look for is so weird 😭 this song changes nothing,” one user tweeted.
“The way men need women to feel less than is very disturbing. But di dolly dem nah shake,” another joined in.
Others have however found humor in the already controversial track.
Another Twitter user replied, “The Doll downgrade pon Lawboss 🤧😂😂😂😂”
“Yoooo what a man brave 😂 song/concept had still lol. Nuff girl gonna hate him now,” someone else added.
