Versi Says Car Damaged By Stray Bullet

Dancehall artist Versi is thanking his lucky stars after what appeared to be a gunshot damaged his car while he was driving in an undisclosed state in the United States.

He took a photo of the damaged car and captioned the photo: ‘was this a stray bullet or it was aimed at me? Whichever way mi gaurds(sic) up. Plus man anointed an protected”.

Dancehall fans posted several praying hands emojis, while some warned : ‘jus be careful tho bredda’, and reassured: ‘Jah a guide bro’.

Versi has been embroiled in a war of words with Popcaan since last week. He upped the ante by releasing a new diss track called Popcaan Suck Back Yu Madda, where he mentions the Unruly Boss’ mother, popularly known as Miss Rhona, by name. The track has generated over 300,000 views since its release.

The feud was triggered earlier this week when Versi sought to promote his other new single Naw Steam via social media on January 4. His promotion included a statement that suggested he had helped Popcaan to establish his Unruly brand, and had co-written the song Unruly Anthem with Popcaan, Quada and Jafrass.

The Unruly Boss took umbrage to the claims with some unflattering comments regarding Versi’s mother. Popcaan followed up with the pointed question of how he (Versi) helped to build a brand such as ‘Unruly’ when he was still a relative unknown in the industry.
