Reggae sensation Chronixx has linked up with British Hip Hop Duo Young T and Bugsey on a new single, Blessings.
The track, which was released on January 6, is the first recording of the New Year from both the rap duo and the Jamaican singer.
Blessings by Young T and Bugsey features the Skankin Sweet artist with a message from Jah. “I and I and Rastafari hold a reasoning, Jah tell me son this is your season. Never let them drain this energy that you gonna be receiving. Im gonna bless you up, bless you up, bless you all. Oh Jah blessings is forever,” Chronixx sings.
The narrative carried by the rap duo talks about their blessings and a journey from humble beginnings to one now favored in fortune. The track also arrived with a lyric video accompanied with a collage of old childhood photos that takes viewers through an upbringing surrounded by family.
Young T and Bugsey’s single Roberto C featuring Unknown T dropped last November. For Chronixx, his last single Safe N Sound dropped last March and though his music releases are far and few, it’s always a treat for Jamaican music lovers.
Young T and Bugsey are popularly known for their hit track Don’t Rush featuring Headie One, and the beat of which took on a trendy TikTok challenge and was remixed by numerous artists. These included Jamaican acts like Jahvillani, Chronic Law, Deep Jahi, Shawn Storm, and others. Dancehall singer Shenseea stunned audiences when she jumped on the beat with a fire freestyle back in January last year.
The duo’s upcoming mixtape Truth Be Told is due on January 21 via Black Butter Records.
