Jay-Z Snaps During Photo-Op With Barrington Levy
Rapper icon and music mogul Jay-Z made it clear he doesn’t like waiting to get his picture taken while posing with Dancehall legend Barrington Levy at a New York City event recently.
In a clip circulating on social media, Hov is seen holding a pose with the Here I Come crooner but ran out of patience shortly after when the photographer took way too long to snap the photo. Levy even looked a little confused when he glanced over at JAY-Z, seemingly wondering if the picture had been taken or not.
“You gotta take it faster than that, man!” the usually-calm and collected rapper said at the person behind the camera.

The footage was from a party celebrating the release of Netflix’s The Harder They Fall movie in New York City last November. JAY-Z, co-executive produced the film while Barrington Levy contributed to the accompanying soundtrack with a special version of the hit Here I Come, and Better Than Gold; a brand new Jeymes Samuel-produced track.
Fellow Jamaican singer Koffee also contributed the title track for the film with her eponymous single The Harder They Fall which officially debuted in December.
Luckily, the lazy-finger shutterbug was able to capture JAY-Z and Barrington Levy’s Kodak Moment in the end.
More photos from the star-studded event showed that other celebs like Jadakiss, Meek Mill, Fabolous, Conway The Machine and others were in attendance.
The Harder They Fall Netflix original movie is a modern-day American Western film, starring Jonathon Majors, Idris Elba, Regina King, Zazie Beetz, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield and others. It follows the story of a former slave turned cowboy who is out for revenge on the man who murdered his parents.
As for Levy’s feature on the film’s soundtrack, it was no coincidence.
Jeymes Samuel, the lead director told GQ in a recent interview, “I just made the western that’s in my head, I make the movie that’s in my head like Barrington Levy’s cinematic score. I used to hear Barrington Levy’s Here I Come as a kid: “I’m broad, I’m broad, I’m broader than Broadway. Yes, I’m broad, I’m broad, I’m broader than Broadway.” I used to hear horses galloping. It’s only right when I make my movie that I can get Barrington Levy to come into the studio.”
Other artists appearing on the soundtrack are Seal, CeeLo Green, Fatoumata Diawara & Ms Lauryn Hill and Alice Smith. The film premièred on November 3 on Netflix and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music platform.
