Nicole Mclaren-Campbell, the wife of popular Dancehall artist Agent Sasco, is counting her lucky stars after a close encounter with would-be attackers on Sunday.

The life coach, though shaken up by the experience, found the courage to share the ordeal with her Twitter and Instagram followers the next day, recalling being ambushed by four men while driving into Kingston.

“On my drive back into Kingston Sunday 8:45am, 4 men on 3 bikes tried to block me into stopping on the road. 2 bikes in front of me and one on my drivers side – and the other side was bush,” she wrote in a tweet.

“The blood of Jesus alone and just knowing I had to find a way out and fast led me to keep moving despite the man screaming at me through the window trying to get me to stop.”

Thinking fast and acting quickly, she detailed how she managed to maneuver out of the situation. “Sped up he fell behind I was now right under the first two and I just swing out and floored the car,” she said.

Nicole revealed that if it wasn’t for her husband, Agent Sasco, and his relentless drilling on safety measures, she probably wouldn’t have figured out her narrow escape.

“Everyone is asking how I reacted so quickly. It’s because of @agentsasco who is constantly drilling me on security and what to do in all manner of scenarios … and I have to tell you I thought he was being extra with the info sometimes 🤯 but I listened same way,” she stated in a follow up on Instagram.

“The minute I saw that man ride up to my window and shouting and gesturing for me to stop … with the two bikes at front …I didn’t even think … I PRESS GAS. All I knew I had to get the hell away and fast. That was the ONLY thing on my mind,” she continued.

Campbell took the opportunity to warn everyone to be vigilant not just on the road but in different types of scenarios that could possibly yield danger.

“Ladies (and gentlemen) is so important for us to walk ourselves through various scenarios and pre-prepare the response 🇯🇲…”

“Please don’t think it can’t happen to you … unfortunately in these times it definitely can 😩😩😩😩 Yea 🩸The blood of Jesus 🩸 my Bible don’t leave my car period,” she added.

Campbell continued to express just how thankful she is to be alive and to see her kids again. In another post she shared photos of her two children with the caption, “I’m so grateful to see these two and be with them,“ followed by a prayer emoji.

Nicole’s experience opened up the conversations online about the increasing crime rate in the country.

The latest statistics released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) on January 24 showed murders in Jamaica had risen by 15.5 percent with a record of 112 murders during the first 23 days of 2022 compared to 97 for a similar period last year, according to the Jamaica Observer.
