Lisa Hyper’s ‘Sculpture’ Hits 2.5 Million Views On YouTube
Producer Tawanna Jones is pumped up about the success of Lisa Hyper’s ‘Sculpture’ single, one of the songs from her popular Ruku riddim project which was released in November last year. The video for the single just passed the 2.5 million views threshold on Youtube last week.
“I have been going through some personal things and just a get over that..so this is great news for me, and I am so happy for Lisa Hyper, she ah mi bad pickney, mi love her, this is the video that has generated the most views for her ever in her career, 2.5 million, well done Lisa! Sculpture for the designer body girls dem! Stand up!” Tawanna Jones, chief executive officer of Mineral Boss Records (MBR), said.
The single also streamed well, peaking at number 13 on the Top 100 iTunes Reggae charts, and reportedly sold well on Amazon Music and Amazon Best Releases.
The rhythm project made a major splash in dancehall with its interesting line-up of artistes such as Ninja Kid, Tony Matterhorn, Mr Lexx, Gage, Maestro Don, JMulaj, Jovi Dupree, Dovey Magnum, I-Octane, Epixode, Kuanna and Supnelse.
Jones is proud of her label’s track record of pushing young artists to the forefront.
“MBR turns youths into stars. I’m proud of this project, and I want to continue to create a platform for young artistes to rise and establish themselves,” Jones said.
The Grammy-nominated producer is credited for the track Progress by Mavado, which was featured on DJ Khaled’s platinum-selling album Major Key.
