Yaksta Teams Up With YGF For ‘God’s Convo’

Young Generation Fraternity Records (YGF) is ready to drop a brand new project, in the form of the God’s Convo EP. The title track, featuring recording artist Yaksta, was released today (February 25) as the project’s first single.

“God’s Convo is a very motivational and personal song. I met in an accident on October 9, 2021 and ever since then, the lyrics guided me and even prevented me from drinking alcohol,” producer Tevin Richards explained.

Originally meant to be a single, the full compilation will be released at a later date, featuring Jahshii, Jahvillani, and ISURE.

“What stands out most about this project are the melody and strings of the beat. I wanted it be a single but when I heard Jahvillani and Jahshi’s hooks while vibing to it, the decision was made to turn into an EP for Herah Music Productions (HMP) and Young Generation Fraternity,” the producer revealed.

With hopes for the project to marinate on the minds of all listeners and to become a classic, Richards also gives credit to a talented team that made the production possible.

“I want to give special thanks to the team, Ricardo Campbell of Wai Fusion for making the beat, Spade who did a wonderful job at HMP, harmonizers, mixers, marketing team and everyone who will play a part in this project especially Yaksta for bringing the words to life,” the producer expressed.

YGF Records has unleashed quite a few hit projects into the music scene, collaborating with some of the biggest names in Dancehall, both locally and internationally. The 2018 EPs, “Gifted” and “Growth” featured local artistes such as Shenseea, Devin Di Dakta, Vershon and African dancehall artiste Shatta Wale. The label has also produced for artistes such as 9TYZ, Guesswah Boss and Konshens. Expect much more from YGF Records in the near future, with new projects currently in the works.
