Shenseea‘s new album Alpha debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Albums chart in the US following its release on Friday.

On Sunday, three of the 14 tracks occupied the Top 10 on the US iTunes Top 100 Reggae Songs chart, namely Can’t Anymore at No. 6, R U That featuring 21 Savage at No. 8 and Lick featuring Megan Thee Stallion at No. 9.

Entertainment Minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange congratulated the 25-year-old for her No. 1 debut on the iTunes chart, in an Instagram post yesterday.

Some naughty followers sought to tickle the former Specs/Shang executive by suggesting that the most explicit song, Lick, was her favorite.

“Aunty tell me which song you like on the album. The dolly dem say a ex anthem and body count them like,” Noel Cunningham, said, to which VQ Sunshine responded: “Henkel Glue she seh”, citing the sexually explicit track with Beenie Man.

“Body count and Henkel Glue on your Playlist Aunty,” Unapologetic Prendi added.

Although Grange is yet to state which songs are her favorite, Dancehall singjay Ce’Cile has cited Body Count as her favourite and the Henkel Glue collab with Beenie Man as among the songs which made her proud, adding that she was comfited that the album remained true to Jamaica and to Reggae and Dancehall culture.
