Skillibeng Claps Back At Terro Don Over Accusations Of ‘Buying Views’
As if he wasn’t under enough pressure from the feud with his ex-artist Silk Boss, Dancehall producer and YouTuber Terro Don seems to have just gained a new enemy in Skillibeng.
In response to being accused of buying views to guarantee the success of his latest release Whap Whap, the Crocodile Teeth deejay took to Instagram on Sunday to call out Terro.
“Never buy views from mi know myself and nobody cya buy none gimmi either..” Skillibeng wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post.
Whap Whap is the first release from Skillibeng since his official signing to RCA Records. According to YouTube’s Charts, Skillibeng received over 700,000 views from Trinidad & Tobago over the last seven days. Whap Whap‘s video was partly filmed on the Twin Island Republic.
In nine days, the track has racked up almost two million views total, although the response from listeners has been very mixed, with some claiming the song isn’t deserving of its popularity.
It appears Terro Don agrees. In the clip Skilli posted to Instagram a short while ago, Terro is heard saying: “D man song nearly reach a million views ah no time with the amount of credit card inno.”
“@terrodonmusiq yuh know seh from you and suchman start link all yuh do a try mash up mi career,” Skilli responded in his caption, which did not specify which of Terro Don’s new acquaintances seemed to be inciting this behavior.
Skillibeng continued, “Mi talent unbelievable to uni don’t??? It too easy fih Skillibeng don’t?? Everytime uni try dash mi wet mi still run e place such just avoid unstoppable greatness.”
“Weh di man dem weh yuh dida hype up she dem a wikidis den? Dem one bagga lyrics deh nah do nutn fih dem? My turn again…Whap Whap!!!!”
“I am number one and will always be number one. Big up Vybz Kartel for being a teacher to mi..Study and yuh music wih pass yuh studio door,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Terro Don has been accused of attempting to destroy an artist. His ongoing feud with ex-client, Silk Boss and girlfriend Brii has reached the point of him being accused of leaking their sex tape during an interview yesterday.
Known for his string of breakout hits including Brik Pan Brik and Mr. Universe, Skillibeng has risen above many other hopefuls in the space. His Crocodile Teeth (remix) with Nicki Minaj, which was released in May 2021, had marked the first time a Jamaican Dancehall artist entered the Billboard Hot 100 since Sean Paul‘s entry in 2017 with an Enrique Iglesias collaboration titled Subeme La Radio.
