Shenseea Tells Blogger To Retire After He Spins Tale About Her “Trapped Farts”
Shenseea has put a blogger on blast for spewing lies at her expense just for views. The Jamaican singer is evidently fed up with 18KarateReggae.com, the same website which started the infamous Drake pregnancy rumor last year.
The 25-year-old took to social media today to debunk the blogger’s most recent made-up tale regarding her supposedly ‘trapped farts’. On her Instagram Stories, the Body Count singer reposted screenshots of the article titled: “Shenseea Hospitalized After Holding in Gas Around New Rapper Boyfriend.”
“Just wanna let y’all know that this is the site who has been spreading non stop lies about me for views. 18 karat Reggae is so desperate and fake (vomiting emoji) EVERYTHING on there is a lie, literally lol,” she wrote.
18KarateReggae.com appears to publish a mix of real and satirical articles, which are similar to that of the popular website, The Onion. For its many satirical pieces, the site often parodies the tone and content of real news stories.
In this case, it appears the blogger was inspired by a recent story that made headlines this week regarding Brazilian singer Pocah who was actually hospitalized with a case of intestinal gas buildup, aka “trapped farts”. According to Complex, the 27-year-old singer told her 15.7 million followers she was too embarrassed to pass gas in front of her boyfriend, so she held in her farts for extended periods of time.
According to 18Karate’s fake story, Shenseea began experiencing the same severe stomach pain after holding in gas around her “new rapper boyfriend” and was later hospitalized. The outlet even added a Jamaican twist to the story, describing how she woke up at 4:30 am with the stomachache after eating “jerk chicken, oxtail, curry roti and stew peas with pigtails,” and “black rum cake for dessert” before washing it down with a “glass of peanut punch and a can of Supligen.”
Shenseea followed up on her IG Stories with several other comments calling out the blogger.
“Hospitalized after not farting around a rapper, who is my boyfriend??? (laughing face emoji),” she wrote.
In another, she added, “Using my name for clicks. Spreading the worst lies. I pray you go to hell lol”.
The Blessed singer also reminded followers that the publication was responsible for starting the rumor that she was pregnant for Toronto rapper Drake last year. “Btw this is also the site that started that pregnancy rumor about me as well” she wrote.
“EVERYTHING, ALL LIES. Worst story teller. Please retire,” she declared.
“Prime example that you cannot believe everything you read guys. One thing with me I ain’t afraid to address sh-t but I won’t stop to throw stones at every barking dog. If you didn’t hear that sh-t from me, it’s not credible. Sites and blogs out here lying for highlights. Be smart,” she advised her followers.
Fans have sounded off over on TheShadeRoom, where Shenseea’s Stories were reposted.
