Spice Takes Things To The Next Level In New Visuals For ‘Different Category’: Watch

Steady on her quest to prove she’s in fact in a ‘different category’ from her contemporaries, Spice shines in new visuals for her previously released Troyton Music-produced song.  Directed by Spice and her good friend Demarco – a music producer and recording artist in his own right, the music video for Different Category premiered a day ago on Friday, April 1.

Different Category, which is featured on the Booyaka Riddim, was first released on January 13. The track arrived with controversy as many fans thought it was a counteraction to Shenseea’s previous release, Dolly.

The Queen of Dancehall held nothing back in the new visuals, stunting on the wannabe females who think they can step in her shoes. She ran through a dozen elaborate wardrobe changes, thanks to an imaginative team of creatives, including glam artist Peachhie, hairstylist Crystal Carter. Fashion stylist Fashionwidower and Jlorraine designs were credited for the singer’s striking costumes.

Her looks included a lavish red fur coverall with flat fascinator hat while sitting cushy on a private plane, and being massaged by two hunky-looking men; a purple polka dot bodysuit, pink bondage-style leotard with matching fur coat; and a green feather dress plus several others, complete with the coordinating backdrop.

In the video, the Needle Eye singer is taken hostage and forced into a lab where she’s probed and examined by a team of scientists, who are resolute in uncovering why she’s so ‘different’ and how they could possibly clone the QOD.

In promoting the single, the Romping Shop singer posted a clip of the music video on her Instagram page to remind the masses that she can never be replicated. “Moral of the story, even if you clone me there can still be only one me. 💙💙💙🎶. We got the same things we ano the same thing,” she wrote.
