First Nation artiste Jahshii’s Cream of the Crop three-date tour of the UK, which had been rescheduled for March to April, has been canceled altogether.

The shows, for which promotion began 12 weeks ago, and which were to feature his compatriot 450, were scheduled for London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The dates were initially set for March 11 to 13.   However, on March 4, days before the tour was to begin, Jahshii had stated on his Instagram page that due to circumstances beyond his control, the Cream of the Crop Tour had been postponed until April.

He had also urged his fans to continue purchasing tickets for the rescheduled date.

However, on Saturday, the Born Fighter artist noted on Instagram that the tour was not to be.

“I would firstly like to apologise to all my fans and supports in the UK who was genuinely ready to support me on my UK tour and a further sincere apology to those who have already purchased their tickets to see me perform live for the first time,” the Excelsior High School past student noted on Saturday.

“I have been rehearsing 25/8 and was looking forward to showcasing my talent on such a huge platform thanks to SLounge Entertainment.   However, due to personal circumstances and reasons beyond my control, I will NOT be able to attend my UK CREAM OF THE CROP TOUR.   This is not a fault of the promotion team and once again, I further thank you to SLounge Entertainment who has been nothing but supportive and professional.   I look forward to performing for the UK in the near future. 🙏🏾,” the Grants Pen native added, and turned off commenting.

On Saturday, Slounge Entertainment also shared Jahshii’s post, alongside what it captioned as a public announcement, noting that the Cream of the Crop Tour had been cancelled and that all persons who bought tickets would be refunded.

“This inconvenience has nothing to do with our production team,” it said.

Jahshii, whose given name is Mluleki Tafari Clarke, is signed to Herah Music Productions (HMP).   Among his songs are Keep Up, Cream Of The Crop with Navaz and 25/8.

The Excelsior High School old boy, made his foray into music at age four, debuting with the song Me Name Jahshii, in 2004 which he recorded for producer Diavallan Fearon’s Builders Music label.

In 2016, while still in high school, he entered Popcaan’s popular Unruly Clash competition and muscled his way to the finals, where he was the first runner-up to Rum and Boom artist Quada.

The UK tour would have been Jahshii’s first major overseas gig since his performance in Georgetown, Guyana in March, where he performed for the first time ever, to throngs of doting fans, and also toured the streets of the capital.

In March, after a masterful performance on Onstage, in which he ditched the Hip-Hop beats which have characterized much of his music, and went full Reggae/Dancehall, Jahshii earned scores of mature fans, who said they were ready to dole out the cash to go see him perform live.

Complete with a full band, Jahshii had poured out his all in a stellar 12-minute performance on the Onstage platform, belting out a medley of his hit songs Cream of the Crop with Navaz, Keep Up,  25/8, Born Fighter and Media, a feat which left even his harshest critics crowning him a redeemer of Dancehall and his generation’s Prince of Reggae.

They also hailed him as a dynamic stage performer and for taking the time to perform with a full band.

Other viewers said that the new artists who are guilty of watering down Dancehall, have big shoes to fill as Jahshii had set the bar for stage performances very high above their heads.
