Linval “Shabba” Thompson Jr., popularly known as Shab Don, has sent a clear message to YouTuber ‘Sir P’ and other pages, who have, according to him, relentlessly undermined his character over the past few months.

The popular Dancehall producer, in an invited comment, told DancehallMag that he was tired of those trying to ‘tear him down’ and associate him with activities that he knows nothing about.

“I sought legal assistance to protect my character and family. Even things that have long gone and have been legally addressed since 2017. I am tired of it and it needs to stop. I don’t want to be spoken of that way as these things aren’t true. Time for it to stop,” the Any Weather producer said.

Sir P, of the YouTube channel Politricks Watch, has developed a reputation for information sharing, primarily with a focus on exposing criminal elements to his over 274,000 subscribers.  In September 2021, one of Sir P’s many allegations had triggered a response from Dancehall artist Squash, who took to the studio to voice the song called No Doubt, which was produced by Shab Don.

In an Instagram post today (April 20), Shab Don shared a video of his attorney-at-law, Donovan Collins addressing the disparaging statements and accusations.

In the video, the attorney stated that “Mr. Thompson has been a victim of several defamatory videos which have been posted by popular vlogger Sir P of Politricks Watch, who has sent out several videos and in these videos he has clearly stated that Linval Thompson Jr is involved in several crimes of shooting, murder, and that he is a part of gang activities,” which Collins affirms are all false.

“Mr. Thompson is a well known and well established business man and he is not involved in any criminal activity,” he continued and added that,”these defamatory videos have caused Mr. Thompson Jr. severe reputational harm and has caused him damages. We are demanding that Sir P of Politricks Watch cease and desist from publishing any further defamatory videos about Mr. Linval Thompson Jr.”

Donovan Collins warned that all necessary legal actions will be taken to protect his client Linval Thompson Jr. and told Sir P in the warning that though he may be “hiding behind a wall, that all necessary legal steps will be taken to remove that wall”, should he not take heed to the clear warning.

Linval Thompson Jr. gained respect in Dancehall circles when he first produced Money Fever by Squash and a plethora of other hit songs with Vybz Kartel, Daddy1 and Chronic Law.

He was recently freed of illegal possession of a firearm, while his co-accused was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Shab Don is to once again face the Kingston and St. Andrew courts next month for corruption charges as he was also accused of attempting to bribe a police officer with $2 million.
