I-Nezi Raises Eyebrows With ‘Pain And Pleasure’ EP
Reggae singer I-Nezi has high hopes for his 6-track EP, ‘Pain & Pleasure’ which was officially released on Friday, April 22.
The EP, produced by Global Beats Studio, is the first such between I-Nezi and Global Beat Studio, his official management label.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And this EP represents a major move towards international recognition for me,” he said.
The Pain and Pleasure EP takes a step away from I-Nezi’s socially conscious side to a more personal, softer side. Tracks such as “Refuse To Be You,” “Scatter Me Now,” “Blame Me,” “On It,” “Fine Wine,” and “Higher” were meant to open up to the fans, an official personal introduction of I-Nezi and prepares them for his sophomore album to come.
The ‘Pain & Pleasure’ EP is now available on all digital platforms.
I-Nezi originates from Spanish Town, he was a top-five contestant as a member of the group H5, in the 2004 Digicel Rising Stars competition. Later, in 2017, he entered Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall as a member of Konscious, a group that evolved from his first group, H5.
I-Nezi channels his truth, disappointments, pain, and raw emotion through his music and is known for hard-hitting tracks such as African Proverbs which first caught the attention of BBC1xtra’s David Rodigan earlier this year, Rise and Sorry Fah produced by Addis Records in Austria, Roots, and Culture produced by Teflon Zincfence Straight Away (New Vision Records).
Broadcaster David Rodigan endorsed the artiste’s latest EP.
” I have downloaded all of the vocal tracks because the entire project is so refreshing and original both lyrically and rhythmically, and the production work is first class. I-Nezi possesses an amazing voice, a rare sound with beautiful clarity,” Rodigan said.
Other broadcasters such as Nikki Z, Daddy English of the Reggae In The City Podcast UK , Ramona Samuels of Riddim FM, and DJ Wiz from Vibe 105.5 FM in Toronto have also praised the project.
