Rapper Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia Ka’oir Davis arrived in Jamaica over the weekend to celebrate their 5-year anniversary. Like with anything this celebrity couple does, they had a special blowout event last night with live entertainment from the Doctor Beenie Man himself. For Keyshia, who was born in Jamaica, it was also an opportunity to give back to her old community, Bamboo River, Duhaney Pen in St. Thomas.

Beenie, who is a well-known philanthropist in his home country, was happy to have been a part of Keyshia and Gucci’s charity. The Dancehall star shared a photo taken with the couple on Instagram and commended them in the caption. “Blessings Pon Blessings to @keyshiakaoir (Keyshia Ka’oir) @laflare1017 (Gucci Mane). Family ova EVERYTHING. Happy anniversary and big up to @keyshiakaoir for joining forces to give back to the community,” he wrote.

Keyshia shared a video on IG of her and Beenie presenting gift bags to the children of the Duhaney Pen neighborhood. In her address to those who came out, she reminded everyone of her connection to the community.

“Hello, it’s Keyshia Ka’oir, and … alright lemme switch it real quick. Yuh done know, wha gwaan! Uno know say a right yesso mi mi grow up don’t it, right down dah lane deh mi live, Bamboo River, three Bamboo lane, Duhaney Pen,” she said.  “I feel so good that I’m able to come back to my neighborhood and do so much for the community and give the kids some stuff…”

“Thanks to the Doctor Beenie Man for showing up to my Ka’oir Cares events, I have some gifts for the kids,” Davis said.

The Ka’oir Fitness founder said the event was a success and again thanked Beenie on her post.

The last time Gucci, 42, and Keyshia, 37, visited Jamaica was in December 2019. The St. Thomas native took her husband to several locales on the island particularly in and around her hometown and ‘backyard’.

“Me & Babe at the beach literally in my backyard where I grew up🇯🇲 #SeaSide” she said posing by the beach in this photo (also check out more footage below).

Keyshia and Gucci wedded in 2017 in an extravagant wedding, which was aired on BET for the entire world to see. Before officially becoming Mrs. Davis, Keyshia was a Miami video vixen, who used her massive social media following to build her beauty and fitness empire.

The two met on the set of Gucci’s 911 Emergency music video set where she appeared as his lead girl. Their romance blossomed but Gucci’s legal drama would catch up to him in 2014 when he was sent to jail. Keyshia remained loyal to the Atlanta rapper during his prison stint and probation periods.

Upon his release from prison in May 2016, the beauty mogul made sure Gucci’s transition was as smooth as possible. “He couldn’t leave the house for six months,” she told New York Post. “I would cook for him every day — healthy stuff. Sunday was our cheat day: oxtails, jerk chicken, curry chicken and rice and peas and coconut water.”

During a Page Six interview, Ka’oir revealed the moment she realized she was in love with Gucci was when she joined him on tour in 2010 and “bathed” him. “I went on tour with Gucci in 2010 — that is when it really started to get serious. I fell in love with Gucci when I bathed him… I put him in a shower and just bathed him. I just did things to him and he looked at me and said, ‘Wow, no one has ever bathed me before,’” she said. Adding, “I am a traditional Jamaican lady, that is what you do. You take care of your man.”

After their wedding, the couple would go on to star in a 10-episode docuseries Gucci Mane & Keyshia Ka’oir: The Mane Event, which aired on BET.

It appears the couple arrived to Jamaica on Friday, Keyshia shared their extravagant take off, boarding a balloon-decorated private jet and sipping champagne mid-flight.
