Shaneil Muir is tired of dealing with body shaming trolls on Instagram.

The Yamabella singer insists her photos are there to stay—so critics, who are unhappy with the way she looks, should simply unfollow her on the platform.

“If y’all don’t like the way I look just unfollow me simple,” Muir declared on Instagram yesterday (May 28).  She added that she’s not afraid to respond to her critics as needed. “Don’t think you’re going to ‘speak freely’ cause me no fraid fi send uno UP ‘freely,’” she said.

In her PSA, Muir warned that body-shaming was unacceptable, and that “natural is okay.”

“So y’all think body shaming is cute? This world is sick. The internet is poisonous to the point where everyone is oblivious to the fact that natural is OK!” she wrote.  “Ladies! Stay strong and stay humble, no make nobody tell you you’re not beautiful. Please consider there are kids born everyday and we are not going to create this norm or narrative that doesn’t appeal to their ACTUAL well-being.”

Singer/producer Demarco commended Shaneil for her natural beauty, rather than looking like these “plastic shape” females nowadays.

“Nuff a these girls have the same plastic shape now a days!!! You look Good Mumma, Natural Beauty 🙌🏾🙏🏾,” he commented on her post.

Spice joined the conversation to enquire: “But den a who coulda a see your nice body and say something bout it 🤔.”

Shaneil answered, “@spiceofficial smaddy weh nuh inna neither fi yuh nor fi me #category 😂,” referencing Spice’s January release,  Different Category .

Others like Ce’cilé simply thanked the Black Is Beautiful singer for standing up to the body shamers. “Thank you!!!!!” she said.

Besides Shaneil’s IG post today the singer has always been very outspoken about similar issues. Several songs in her catalog endorse self-love and encourage individuals, especially children, to be proud of their bodies, race, and backgrounds.

In February when she released her single Black Is Beautiful, the singer slammed Dancehall music fans for not supporting her more positive music. Pointing out how eager they were to run up streams on slacker tracks, yet complain about the hardcore nature of the genre.

The Jamaican singer wrapped up a performance in Georgetown, Guyana last night and will kick off her UK tour next month from June 3 to June 12, before heading to locations in the Caribbean, Canada, and the U.S.
