Shab Don Arrested By Anti-Gang Task Force Over Triple Murder
Linval “Shabba” Thompson Jr., popularly known as Shab Don, has been taken into custody by the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JAGTF) in connection with a triple murder.
The Dancehall producer was arrested in a targeted operation in St. Catherine South on Friday, June 3.
Thompson Jr., who has also been identified as a Person of Interest in the recent triple murder and wounding with intent on May 25th in Rose Heights, St. James, is expected to be questioned in the coming days in the presence of his attorney.
Shab Don was freed of gun-related charges on April 7, however, he is accused of offering a police officer $2 million to get rid of an illegal gun in a case he had been previously charged with. He was charged with a breach of the Corruption Prevention Act, Section 14, Subsection 2, which is considered a greater offense than attempted bribery.
His next hearing on the corruption charge is scheduled for June 9.
Specializing in Dancehall and Trap fusions, Shab Don Records, headed by Thompson Jr. and Carlos Clarke, initially formed as a production outfit for the Squash-led 6ixx group in Montego Bay and is best known for Vybz Kartel‘s Bad Mind and Any Weather, TeeJay‘s Henne & Weed and Shub Out, Squash’s Money Fever and Jahvillani‘s Nuh Rate Dem.
