Tami Chin And Wayne Marshall Welcome Home Baby Girl Ivy Arrow
Jamaican entertainers Tami Chin Mitchell and husband Wayne Marshall are now the proud parents of a darling baby girl, Ivy Arrow Mitchell.
Ivy, who was born just a few days before Father’s Day (on June 16, 2022), is the couple’s first daughter and now baby sister to Ozzy (2 yrs.), Atlas (5 yrs.), and Jax (8 yrs.)
In Instagram posts today, Tami and Wayne shared the first photos of baby Ivy with three of her brothers. “Our littlest love has come earthside,” they wrote. “We are all so overjoyed at her arrival and looking forward to this next, beautiful chapter.”
The couple’s Meet The Mitchells online family got an inside peek of the events leading up to Ivy’s birth in a June 20 episode. Fans saw the moment Tami kissed her boys a touching farewell and headed off to the Andrews Memorial Hospital. Some time later, they watched as the very seasoned mom briskly walked to the operating theatre for what was an all too familiar cesarean procedure.
Wayne took over coverage from there to give everyone an update on how he was coping with his baby girl’s pending arrival.
“Tami is in the operating theatre right now and you would think as a veteran father like what I am, you’d get used to this moment but trust me, mi belly knot up and the nerves, yeah, but is a excitement though,” he said. “I’m confident – this is the team that we’ve used for all of our babies and everything has been smooth sailing, and I don’t expect it to be any different this time around.”
Inside the operating theatre, Tami was being the usual comic entertaining the doctors at the expense of her husband. “I can’t believe I getting a daughter, you did it Wayne. You know he wore pink briefs for one year – is true – to try and inspire his balls,” she joked which sent everyone laughing in the room.
A few minutes later, Ivy arrived and still in disbelief Tami asked, “She still have a vagina right?” to again crack everyone up.
It was 8:11 am when the couple finally saw their baby girl for the first time.
Back home Ivy was met with a large and eager crowd, including her grandmothers (both Wayne and Tami’s mothers), Momo the nanny, Wayne’s little brother Alex, along with Jax, Atlas and Oz.
