Alkaline’s New Rules Festival Donates $1 Million To Jamaica Society For The Blind
On Thursday, June 23, at the media launch for the highly anticipated return of New Rules Festival, CEO of New Era Productions, Kareen Beckford donated JMD $1 million to the Jamaica Society for the Blind (JSP).
The contribution will help the JSP with its objective of providing registered persons who are blind or visually impaired with reading and audio material for their educational and entertainment purposes.
“New Era Productions is committed to executing its corporate social responsibility (CSR). This isn’t our first philanthropic endeavor, and it won’t be the last. We stand by our commitments and hope this donation to the Jamaica Society for the Blind will help strengthen their efforts,” said Beckford, who is also the manager of Alkaline.
The event which was moderated by Badda Bling, with a special oratory from Dr. Donna Hope, saw the likes of several members of the press and entertainment fraternity engaged in the presentations done by Sponsors of the New Rules Festival.
Digicel’s brand marketing manager, Carla Hollingworth, Worthy Park Estate’s marketing manager Tamika West, and Sunshine snack’s Shantell Hill-Afonso all spoke individually on their respective brand’s collaboration with New Rules Festival, and the pride they all felt in being associated with Alkaline and New Era Productions.
On July 2, the National Stadium car park will come alive with Dancehall’s trendiest names to date including, Skeng, Jahvillani, Aidonia, Stalk Ashley, Elephant Man, Macka Diamond, Marcy Chin, Pretti Pretti and more performing in concert with The Man Himself, Alkaline.
Rickardo Shuzzr, Sponsorship and Promotions Manager, New Rules Festival stated, “New Rules Festival will be integrating the necessary protocols and systems to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our guests with the wearing of masks highly recommended.”
Sanitization for New Rules Festival will be provided by Konnex Services Limited, which has partnered with the event to provide leading sanitization technology for the evening.
