Minister Marion Hall Drops Dancehall-Inspired Freestyle On The Way To Brunch
Minister Marion Hall can’t seem to shake the Dancehall bug.
On her way to brunch on Sunday (June 26), Hall, formerly Queen Of Dancehall Lady Saw, shared a Dancehall-inspired freestyle on Facebook, dedicated to all the “pretty ladies.”
Hall wore her hair down with loose tresses and rocked her signature oversized square vintage framed glasses with a buttoned-up shirt. She was clearly feeling herself as she belted out what appeared to be a freestyle touting her beauty–the Kardashian clan best stand aside.
“Mi say mi prettier dan di, prettier dan di Kardashi dem, Mi just prettier dan di, prettier dan di Kardashi dem … ah dat ah mad dem. Mi too pretty, yes mi pretty, yes mi pretty dan Kardashi dem … ” Minister Hall fervently sang on the hook of her freestyle.
“Show me ah threat, it a mad all ah dem, ah lip off dem mout and dem nuh make sense. Mi ah threat, prettier dan di Kardashi dem. Dem blood pressure run up 310,” she continued before toasting the pretty girls out there.
“Pretty girls happy Sunday to you! I’m going for brunch, Oh my gosh, I’m just loving my life, loving the way God has blessed me. I don’t need money to be blessed, oh my God, I don’t need no banks… I’m just blessed, Oh my God!” she said.
“Still the undisputed Queen of de Dancehall sound and culture! Big up Minister Marion Hall May God bless you forevermore ,” one of the Minister’s followers declared.
“You just cannot lose your Dancehall vibes at all,” another Facebook user chimed in.
“By next year she hit back d dancehall..always throwing words at ppl and always talking bout money…dancehall it is,” one follower wrote.
“Make it make sense, which road are you on ,” one woman asked.
However, another follower placed the Minister’s freestyle back into the proper context. “So true, u are so beautiful 😍 as the Bible says God beautify the meek with salvation, continue to rejoice in the Lord🙏,” they commented.
Minister Hall, who said she would be keeping her sermons off social media, has still been uploading several clips on her Facebook page, including ministering a sermon in Atlanta and a baptism in Staten Island, New York earlier this month.
Hall has an upcoming appearance in Florida at the Righteous Rockers Music Festival on August 7.
The Minister appears hopeful for a ‘Gospel Night’ on the Joe Bogdanovich-led Reggae Sumfest music festival coming up next month.
She shared a recent interview with the Downsound Entertainment CEO speaking with Fox 5 – Good Day NYC about discussions they’ve had with the former Queen of Dancehall about performing on the show.
Bogdanovich said the stage would be hers to do whatever she wanted. “She can do Gospel, she can do anything she wants on that Dancehall stage,” he said.
The music executive added, “We will be more prepared for that in 2023,” when the host suggested giving Hall a whole night possibly dubbed “Minister Marion and Friends” to do her music of choice.
Hall wrote on the post, “Someone send me this today. And all I could say was. God work in some mysterious ways.”
