Shenseea, Stefflon Don For Calvin Harris’ New Album
Scottish DJ and mega-producer Calvin Harris has tapped Jamaican singer Shenseea and British-Jamaican rapper/deejay Stefflon Don for the second installment of his summer soundtrack series titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2.
Harris is known for producing EDM, electro house, dance-pop, and nu-disco records. His most recognized and best-selling work includes This is What We Came For (2016) and We Found Love (2011), both with Rihanna, I Need Your Love (2013) with Ellie Goulding, How Deep Is Your Love (2015) with Disciples, Slide (2017) with Frank Ocean and Migos, and One Kiss with Dua Lipa (2018).
On June 29, Harris shared a serene ocean album trailer, teasing all the project’s guest appearances with the instrumental and backing vocals of the album’s lead single Potion , which features Dua Lipa and Young Thug.

Slated for release on August 5, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 is Harris’ sixth studio album, serving as the highly anticipated sequel to his 2017 project, Funk Wav Vol. 1.
Vol. 2 comprises collaborations with 23 entertainers; big names such as pop icons Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Charlie Puth, Dua Lipa, and Halsey are mentioned among them. Hip Hop royalty Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes are also on the guest list, along with trending acts 21 Savage, Young Thug, Chlöe, Pusha T, Tinashe, Normani, Lil Durk, Offset, 6LACK, Coi Leray, Donae’o, Latto, Swae Lee, and Jorja Smith.
Beyond the lead single, Potion, the tracklist has not been revealed.
Shenseea’s appearance on the album—expected to be one of the most euphonious compositions on the set—is another major move for the entertainer, who is currently on her ten-leg European tour.
The 25-year-old was also recently featured on fellow Jamaican Sean Paul’s eighth studio album Scorcha, collaborating with the Grammy award-winning artist on the album’s ninth track Light My Fire which features international singer and songwriter, Gwen Stefani.
Meanwhile, Stefflon Don has been heating up some of the biggest stages since the start of the year, performing at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and at the OH MY! Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Calvin Harris’ album is the closest Steff and Shenseea have come to collaborating, following the now-removed remix of Shenseea’s 2020 hit song, Rebel. Nonetheless, the British rapper has been vocal about the possibilities of a future collab with the Jamaican superstar.
