Spice, Foota Hype Beef Reignites After He Calls Her “Dis-Grace Hamilton”
The rift between Spice and Foota Hype has deepened even more, after another war of words developed between the two on Instagram, following his commentaries on her performance at the Toronto Pride event and designation of her as “Dis-Grace Hamilton”.
After watching a video clip on Instagram of Spice celebrating at the Pride event when the Spotify Equal Campaign showcased images of her on an electronic billboard, Foota labeled her actions a “disgrace move”.
After spotting Foota’s comments, Spice replied to him saying: “Yuh Mumma make a disgrace move when you born 🖕🏾.”
But an unrelenting Foota, who says he does not take insults about his mother lightly, replied stating that he was not going to engage in a disrespectful tit-for-tat about each other’s parents.
“Mi say wah mi say already and mi nuh affi try diss u mother fi say it this mission is bigger than arrogance learn that u need fi know uself moral wise and spiritual wise,” he noted.
A woman, who came to Foota’s defence and admonished Spice was curtly dismissed by the Cool It artist, after telling her that her comments were “hurtful, “not nice” and that as a supporter of her music, she thought the Queen of Dancehall was going to “ignore things”.
“Everything unu want me fi bloodclaat ignore‼️ TELL THE HYPOCRITE DEM FI IGNORE MI. Simple, it always ok fi dem hurt me but when mi hurt dem unu have a problem, YUH NEVER SEE WHEN HIM SAY MI A DISGRACE , don’t bloodclaat tag me gal KMFT nah make no pussy walk over mi so I’ll lose you as a fan I’m good 👍🏾,” Spice wrote in response.
In a monologue, on his Suhvyvah Godcast YouTube channel following that exchange, Foota, still seething about the references to his mother, had used the opportunity to further rip into Spice.
“Spice career inna one toilet now enuh. Spice career sh-t up enuh. Shi caan tell mi nuttn inna life; mi nuh care. Shi caan chat to mi. Yuh full a sh-t; yuh nuh haffi talk to me…yuh coulda tell promoter one million time yuh nuh wan deh pon show wid Foota Hype; I care less,” the Calabar High School old boy declared.
“All artiste haffi do when dem ask yuh fi do dem doo-do show deh, seh ‘yuh know mi have a bookings aready. The date is gone’. Yuh nuh haffi do no doo-do show. Yuh nuh haffi love dem. Yuh can seh yuh don’t have an opinion on dat. Nobaddy nuh seh yuh haffi seh yuh like dem. Nobaddy nuh seh yuh haffi do dem show. A you waan dweet caw yuh licki-licki. An yuh caan satisfy. An yuh sell yuh soul… it simple. Yuh haffi understand when people licki-licki and red eye and waan teck short cut fi reach weh dem a guh,” he added.
Last week Saturday, Spice performed for more than an hour at a Toronto Pride 2022 event, which was staged by the Canadian LGBTQ group Pride Toronto, in Canada.
Midway her performance Spice, paused to take aim at her Jamaican compatriots who had objected to her performing at the event, even as she expressed her adulation of the LGBTQ community.
In November last year, after learning that Spice would be the headliner for the show, Foota Hype and Dancehall/Reggae superstar Sizzla Kalonji condemned her actions.
