Thug Famous Defends The ‘Bad Gal’
Thug Famous is catching the attention with his breakout single ‘Bad Gal’ and is focused on taking the next step with his career.
“I am happy with the current direction of my career. I am fully focused on doing the work needed to eventually become one of the greats in the business. Yes! It takes time, but nothing worth having comes easy,” Thug Famous, whose real name is Demoy Plant, said.
Released August 1, “Bad Gal” featuring Jahvel is now available on all major digital and streaming platforms with distribution courtesy of Zojak Worldwide.
Produced by Mad Dawg Entertainment, the collaborative effort currently has 35,000 views on YouTube.
Thug Famous, who hails from the gritty inner city community of Grants Pen in St. Andrew, known for producing several prominent luminaries, including fast-rising deejay Jahshii, is working assiduously to be the Next Big Thing from that community.
Growing up in a tough environment, music served as a safe haven for Thug Famous as it provided a medium for him to express himself and let out his emotions. “I know that there is a space in dancehall for me, and I am coming for it,” he said.
According to the principals of Mad Dawg Entertainment, responsible for guiding the artiste’s professional career, the song is surpassing early expectations.
“We released the single without any promotional push because we’re aware Thug Famous, though a relative newcomer to the scene, has a lot of core support in the streets. Hence this was just an exercise to measure his impact, and he is winning right now,” the representative of Mad Dawg Entertainment, said.
