Entertainers Khago, Blvk H3ro and Destiny Sparta (now Destiny Yisrael), have voiced their opinions on the ongoing saga involving their compatriot Silk Boss.

Following reports of Silk Boss’ beating by men the artist repeatedly described as his “friends”, in Portmore and who reportedly robbed him of $1.4 million, Khago said the assault on the Surgery artist was a blessing in disguise.

In condemning those who were expressing sorrow Khago labeled them hypocrites while arguing that Silk Boss knew the evil character of the type of men he had aligned himself with, but was only coming to terms with the crassness of their behavior, because of the vicious attack they led against him.

“Today oonu git up ana talk bout artiste get raas bax.  Couple days before di artiste get him bax, a bet if di artiste did deh roun dem same man deh inna one party, an oonu just once brush pan di artiste or try teck a picture wid him, dem man deh box yuh dung straight a grung right in front a him, an di artiste himself just walk pan yuh raas head and guh pon stage an don’t seh one ting bout it,” Khago stated.

“Oonu fi happy dem box out Silk Boss raas or whatsoever him waan name, and box him outa badniss, an box him inna di voice room.   A one day beating dat… Onu leggo dat now man, caw 90 percent a oonu a hypocrite…,” Khago declared.

Khago then went on to give an account of how he, himself was about to go down the road of criminality, by following “bad company”, but “one box” in his face set him straight.

According to him, he left his district Craig in Manchester and followed friends on Grand Market night who had planned to steal water guns, but while his friends stole theirs and escaped, he was spotted by a man who gave him an “everlasting” box knocking the daylights out of him.

“Anyway mi di get weh wid da water gun deh, mi woulda become di biggest thief.  Maybe me woulda dead already.   Caw nuff a dem man deh, deh a prison.  An turn di biggest murderer inna Jamaica, inna country.  Mi just naw call no name.  Wha oonu a talk seh?  Sometime yuh haffi get bax inna yuh right lane… A beat man beat mi outta badniss.  One bwoy from dung a Natta gi mi some raas lick,” he said.

According to the Manchester native, he was no stranger to being a target in Kingston, as in his days as an upcoming artist, he was shot at twice by gunmen, including once in Mongoose Town.

“Meck mi tell oonu man.  A two time dem buss gunshot afta mi a town bredda.  Likkle most mi nuh live fi buss.  One time mi pay fi do one video an when mi come fi di video from di yute, him gi mi a time and when mi reach di time earlier before wah him seh, him nuh deh-deh.  An mid deh-deh fi two hour a him gate.  An mi call him and him tell mi fi suck mi madda,” the Walk A Mile artist recounted.

Continued Khago: “An as a fool mi tell him fi suck back him madda.  And him seh ‘awrite, mi soon come gi yuh di video’.  A right pan spot mi si one car drive up, an one barrage a gunshot. A lucky mi lucky seh mi did a par wid mi road manager which part a licensed firearm holder fi save wi life.  Yuh hear bredda?”

Khago also said that the issue of artists being “boxed-up” was nothing new, something he was well aware of when he engaged in a lyrical feud with Sizzla Kalonji several years ago.

“When mi an Sizzla a war, a bare inna di voice room.  A inna di voice room mi bathe.  Mi nuh come outta Downsound voice room… and when mi come outta it, a police and license security guard deh roun mi.  Yuh tink mi want Sizzla fren dem bax mi dung?  Caw Sizzla naw bax mi enuh – Lawd Jeezas Crise!” he said laughing.

“Das why artiste fi know weh dem a do bredda,” Khago added.

Following the naming of the entertainer as a “person of interest”, Blvk Hero and Destiny Sparta responded to two separate Star posts about the matter, urging the police to leave Silk Boss alone.

“This is a dangerous game, just Lowe the youth cause we all know this is a life threatening situation,” Blvk H3ro said.

“It’s never black and white he has to live with his decisions yes I’m just saying this game of putting his name alongside the police now at this point sends the wrong messages to the wrong people u know this so wether his life choices are good or not there is a better way to help the youth if that’s wat the peace officers are trying to do (which we know it’s not),” the It Nuh Easy artist later added.

On the other post Destiny Sparta also batted for Silk Boss, noting that the police were putting him in an additional predicament by putting his name out in the public as a person of interest.

“Omg leave him alone,” he wrote, then in response to a commenter added: “just seems he’s being harassed for something he doesn’t want to speak on”.

After another commenter noted that: “I believe they’re doing this just for him to rat out who those so called gangsters are,” Sparta replied: “exactly, he who keepeth his mouth keepeth his life”.
