Gonnabe Croons ‘Please Take My Heart’
Recording artist Gonnabe shows off his musical chops on his breakout single “Please Take My Heart” where he exposes male vulnerability to the bitters and sweets of love.
“The song is about love in its most unfiltered form while highlighting some of the things that have caused the subject of the song to be apprehensive where love is concerned,” the artiste explained.
Produced by his in-house production team, the track was officially released in January 2022.
Gonnabe explores themes of male vulnerability and sentimentality in a narrative that is rarely explored in the dancehall space
“Men are not traditionally known to express their emotions, and unfortunately enough, this is an era where there have been increased reports of domestic violence and female fatalities at the hands of men. Hence, I saw the importance to express myself in this manner,” he elaborated.
Since its release, the track has been performing quite well and has been greatly received by his fans.
“This particular song has received positive feedback. This has been truly reassuring in the sense that this song has resonated with the target audience, which has resulted in an increased demand for more songs of this nature as love conquers all,” the artiste stated.
In the game professionally for the past three years, the Montego Bay-based artiste is a self-described student of the music industry who invests time in properly researching sounds and melodies.
“There is no particular style to my music, hence it can only be described as an expression of art,” he highlighted.
With a growing catalogue of music with tracks such as “Fully Active”, “Militant”, “This Real” and “Psycho Bunny”, the artiste is continuing his journey to greatness with more to come. His most recent EP, Chop History Chiptape Season 1, is a testament to his creativity and will soon be followed up with a new project.
“More singles are in the pipeline to be released in the coming days and Season 2 of Chop History Chiptape is coming in the first quarter of next year,” he revealed.
