Bounty Killer Poses With His Platinum Plaque From DJ Khaled: “Win With Us Or Watch Us Win”
Bounty Killer’s sharing of a photo of himself posing with a platinum certification plaque from DJ Khaled’s Khaled Khaled album, has been met with glee by the Palestinian-American producer, but has left the deejay’s followers polarized.
Bounty made the post on Christmas Day, three weeks after his Reggae/Dancehall compatriot Sizzla Kalonji shred to bits and burnt two plaques DJ Khaled sent to him, commemorating the Platinum certifications of the producer’s Grateful (2017) album and Father of Asad (2019), for what the singer described as utmost disrespect.
“Cheers to the hard work put in on this project congratulations to DJ Khaled, myself and all the others involved Win With Us Or Watch Us Win🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆,” Bounty captioned the post.

In response DJ Khaled wrote: “Love brother thank you for your friendship happy holidays to you and your family ! Day 1 fam, GOD DID ! Love forever,” to which Bounty replied: “DJ Khaled, love and love alone bro we did all we said we was gonna do dawg just keep on winning another one🥇”.
Bounty later elaborated on the relationship between himself and Khaled, after one follower pointed out that he loved to “see the genuine respect” between them.
“It’s a genuine connection between us still. Kinda unexplainable. I just could tell Khaled no his vibration and aura was captivating and he wasn’t no fat charming looking guy. He used to look like a skinny hardcore Arabian gangster, but there were something about this brother. Now we all see what it was I’m so extremely proud to be apart of this evolution and musical revolution. We The Best🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆,” Bounty wrote.
On one hand, Bounty was praised by some followers for remaining loyal to Khaled, among them grantspen_alliance who noted that the Warlord had been generous to many Jamaicans within and outside the music industry which remains unforgotten.
“That’s why DJ Khaled showed you lots of respect because you is the one that buss him in dancehall and now he’s showing you back the same…love big up your self @grunggaadzilla,” he wrote, while mariobloom added: “And this is why your career always taking new heights! You satisfy wid what you get and you’re always grateful! You don’t red eye for what another man have! Congrats mi general!”
Another follower ryantheartistmiller added: “Glad to see Bounty Killer and Capleton didn’t carry on like Sizzla.”
However, while stars such as Busta Rhymes and Cham, and other followers were kind in their remarks and praised Khaled, there were others who jumped under the post to jeer the American, ordering him to go pay over royalties, and make amends with Sizzla.
Bounty himself, engaged in a verbal tussle with one follower the_generals_sunshine who took aim at Khaled in a slew of comments.
“DJ Khaled, you don’t even pay the Jamaican artists. You’re an exploiter. Nothing more… I know you don’t pay Jamaican artists. You are a horrible person hanging on Buju Banton, she jeered before asking Bounty: “Does he even pay you?”
In response Bounty asked: “U love ppl business how’s that of ur concern?🤔”
“Because I’ve heard he doesn’t. Calm down ffs… actually. I know he doesn’t… what is funny about the artists not getting paid?? While Khaled pockets get fatter than he is?” the commenter added.
Bounty returned to tell off his provoker, declaring: “Unuh need to mind unuh own business unuh don’t know who’s getting paid from who’s not so leave that alone🤐…Be careful of following what u heard still thank you 🙏🏾”.
In responding to a quip from a fan who said that Bounty’s name was “too small”, the Its OK artiste replied: “Yeah good things comes in small parcels most times plus less is more also👌🏿”.
Other followers went on to claim that the plaque sent by Khaled was “a form of idol worship”, while some said Bounty’s post was a betrayal of Sizzla.
“We will eat our own alive to enjoy crumbs at the table of others,” one man said.
“@grunggaadzilla, Sizzla a the man you look like u love bow to man to be trending,” oranenelson3 wrote, while one woman questioned Khaled’s motives noting: “Khaled the culture vulture🤦🏽♀️ is he giving back to the communities and culture he want to be apart of so bad?”
Another, realyutes_ was caustic in his comments as he rebuked the Living Dangerously artist.
“Stand against u bredda. Long time this a happen. From slavery dayz.. sell out long mouth bounty bet u block me todeh… old boasty slave like u stand against u bredda fi and a throw u wud. SYM u And @djkhaled bun plague but dat… No unity pure disrespect against unu own.”
On December 8, Sizzla, during a fiery ritual at his Judgment Yard base in August Town, had raised hell, as according to him he had taken umbrage to the fact that, after all his contributions to Khaled’s big break in the music industry, the producer had dared to insult, not only himself, but Jamaica.
While he did not elaborate on why Khaled had “insulted Jamaica”, Sizzla had said Khaled had disrespected him by putting his name in micro-lettering, which he could barely see on the plaque.
He had also decried the fact that Khaled had sent him the plaque, five and two years after their platinum certifications.
Grateful was certified on August 23, 2017, while Father of Ashad was certified platinum on May 17, 2020.
