Queen Nikki Debuts Podcast With Boyfriend As First Guest
Dancehall artist Queen Nikki launched her podcast on Friday with boo thang producer GoldFinga Tipical, and between him walking off set, her defending searching his phone and him declaring she’s the best he’s ever had, the debut was rather spicy.
Dubbed Talk Up Podclass, the show aired on the ‘GoldFinga Productions’ YouTube channel in a question-and-answer format. Of major contention was Queen Nikki’s recent viral comments on Jaii Frais’ Toxic Talk pod regarding cheating. The Twinkle Star singjay said should she discover that her partner is cheating but he desires to work things out, she would be game, providing she cheats too, records the session, and shows it to him.
GoldFinga said he did not see the viral clip, and asked if it was targeted at him.
“If you plan fi f–k pan me and me find out and you a come waan we work it out together, den mi nuh just f–k pan you and video it,” she maintained.
He walked off set reeling off expletives, but ultimately returned after she reminded him that they were filming. Queen Nikki continued, adding she’d make it sting even more by cheating with an ex.
“And you expect me and you fi sit dung and work that out and build a relationship after you go f–k and send a video and me never send you nuh video?” he asked.
They continued to butt heads before Queen Nikki added a disclaimer for women who may be influenced by her stance.
“Girls unno have to know the type of man unno a do dem type of something yah with because trust me, some of dem will kill unno,” she said. “If unno know unno deh wid a man weh will kill unno…left dem instantly and go f**k and send the video to dem phone. Unno nah fi come back in presence with them.”
Her statements may sound extreme to the average listener, supporting a trait GoldFinga said he dislikes.
“Why yuh so ignorant?” he asked, a word used by Jamaicans to mean easily and dangerously riled up. Yet, he cited her personality as compensation for her “likkle ways”.
They started dating in 2020 after she appeared in the Bad Position music video for Sanka, an artist on his roster. Interestingly, he had no clue of her popularity.
“When mi did hear bout Nickeisha, mi did actually think it was Nikki Chromazz…” he confessed. “Up to the point weh mi and har a date, mi still never know a who name Queen Nikki cause mi never inna dancehall.”
A colleague told him about her and he looked her up on YouTube. Queen Nikki gave him a “brace yourself” pep talk considering her personal life often makes headlines in the media.
Queen Nikki joins other Jamaican entertainers to venture into YouTube-based podcasts including Shelly-Ann Curran, Tu-Lox, and Dale Elliott.
