Stylo G Shares Photos Of New Apartment In Jamaica: “God Is Good, My Smile Is Big!”
British Jamaican Dancehall artist Stylo G shared that he recently purchased an upscale apartment in the Kingston hills of his homeland Jamaica.
The Dumpling artist, whose real name is Jason McDermott, said he was living out every ghetto youth’s dream, alongside a string of photos of the 1,027 sq feet crib, which features 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
Boasting brand-new interiors with modern finishes and a spacious walkout balcony overlooking the pool and panoramic views of the city and ocean, the property, which is currently under offer, was listed for USD $207,914 (or JMD $32,000,000), according to checks made by DancehallMag.
The gated complex is a stark difference and a big upgrade from Stylo’s humble beginnings.
The deejay also shared a short video titled “Coming from this” showing his modest family home, where he grew up in Spanish Town.
“Just Bought a New place 🏠 in Jamaica 🇯🇲 😁 god is good, my smile is big!! But my ghetto struggle was bigger 😭 🙏🏾 🙏🏾,” the singer wrote in the caption of the post.
“Thanks to all the people who’ve helped me along this journey ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he continued.
Friends and fellow Jamaican celebs congratulated the producer/singer on the big coup, including Shaneil Muir, Chris Gayle, and Majah Hype, who commented, “Champion status!!”
Stylo G, who migrated from Jamaica to live in England at 15 years old, had been renting vacation homes during his many visits to the island over the years.
In 2019, the Touch Down deejay’s Caymanas Estate rental was raided by cops, who were tipped off by an unknown source alleging there were guns in the home. Despite leaving the country in a heated rage, he has returned for several occasions, including shooting the music videos for his single Bamm Bamm that gave an account of his experience during the police raid.
The Dancehall star is best known for his hit singles Touch Down, My Number, Call Mi A Leader, and Dumpling Remix featuring Spice and Sean Paul.
Additionally, he has collaborated with many prominent figures in the music fraternity locally and abroad, including Vybz Kartel, Gyptian, and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few.
