Dancehall star
Skillibeng
will join Nigerian artist Wizkid’s ‘More Love Less Ego’ US/Canada tour on select dates, starting March 11.
Wizkid will kick off the tour with fellow Nigerian singer Ruger on March 3 in Houston, Texas. The Essence singer made the announcement on Instagram on Friday with a motion graphic of the dates.
Skillibeng will appear as a special guest on six of the 18 stops, namely Philadelphia, PA on March 11, Washington, DC, on March 12, Brooklyn, NY, on March 14, Boston, MA, on March 15, Montreal, QC, on March 18, and Toronto, ON, on March 19.
WizKid previously recruited the Whap Whap deejay and Shenseea for the Slip N’ Slide track which formed part of his fifth studio album More Love, Less Ego.
Back in November, the song debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart. The album itself debuted at No. 59 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 16 on the UK Albums chart.
It was the first Afrobeats collaboration for Skillibeng, while Shenseea previously worked with Fireboy DML and Chris Brown on Diana.
The Crocodile Teeth deejay was slated to join American R&B singer Chris Brown on the ‘Under The Influence’ tour which kicked off on February 12 at Dublin’s 3Arena, however, he had to pull out.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we could not make the Europe leg of the tour happen. We look forward to being on the road Again,” a statement from his team read in part.
