Dancehall deejay Bounty Killer is in jubilant spirits after his United Kingdom visa was reinstated.

The 5-Star General shared the exciting news via Instagram on Monday, alongside an image of what appears to be a page in his passport.

“Fu**a dem mi nuh stuck again 🤩🥳,” he began in the caption. “New albumo (album) new visa it’s a new arising like the phoenix so who fi start loose weight sh*t piss and vamit do it now poooosie unuh said mi couldn’t get back nuh visa but GOD in control never will i ever bow stoop bend nor sell out a BHAD MAN TING 😎.”

In an interview last week, Killer opened up his prolonged inability to travel to the United States, a situation that he described as “devastating” to his music career and family.

“It’s life. Life is life and yuh affi jus live. I don’t know what I did to not have a visa for 13 years, but up until this day, di embassy nuh even have a good explanation for me,” he told Gaza Uncle and DJ Everlina on ‘The State Of Dancehall podcast’.

“I don’t even know how I survive,” he added. “Most of my fans are in the US, and that’s where the music market is biggest, and I can’t even get to go promote my songs or greet my fans or even my family, my kids. I got several kids in the US, so this affected me devastatingly.”

Killer, along with other Dancehall giants like Beenie Man, Sizzla, Aidonia, and Mavado had their U.S. visas revoked in 2010. The U.S. Embassy did not state the reason for the revocation back then but subsequently reissued Aidonia and Mavado with their visas.

In May 2020, there were  fresh calls  for both Beenie Man and Bounty Killer to be given back their US visas, following the duo’s performance on  the VERZUZ show

On a more positive note, Killer’s fans and colleagues are celebrating with him online. Surely, this means supporters in the UK will see him soon.

Shaggy was among those sending well-wishes for his compatriot.

“Congratulations mi general!! Was only a matter of time …who god bless no man curse!” the Grammy-Award winning entertainer said.

Gramps Morgan added, “ALL PRAISE THE WORLD AWAITS YOU KING PRICE”

G Whizz chipped in saying, “Out there GENERAL, The World Need to See The Great DJ.”

Cham, who has a fresh joint project with the deejay, also said, “Tick Tick Tick Booom!!!!!”

The project, titled Time Bomb, was released on Friday with Madhouse Records producer Dave Kelly.
