Jahshii Shares New Song ‘Numb’ After His Brother’s Tragic Death
Born Fighter artist Jahshii says he’s “Numb” in his new song, released on September 25. The embattled Dancehall star has once again chronicled his strength and willpower to overcome adversities through his music.
“Pain create mi, yuh hear dat,” he declares in the song’s intro, letting his opps know he will continue to prevail.
“Mi [expletive] numb now. If you cut me, you nah see no blood now. Mi a fight dah fight yah, a nuh punch out. Born as a soldier, mi a nuh cub scout,” he goes on.
Produced by Now Or Never and Fuss Nation, the song is Jahshii’s first track since his brother David “Mosiah” Clarke was killed in Grants Pen, Kingston.
The incident is the latest of a series of unfortunate situations surrounding Jahshii’s family. In June of this year, the Born Fi Dis deejay was named in an investigation regarding the death of businessman Omar “Romie” Wright. He surrendered himself to the police with his attorney and was subsequently released after questioning about the June 7 murder.
A month later, a motor vehicle belonging to Jahshii was attacked by armed men on Constant Spring Road, injuring six members of his entourage. The entertainer narrowly escaped the attack, as he had opted to travel in a separate vehicle upon leaving his birthday event.
Since the song’s release, the Cream Of The Crop deejay has had an outpouring of support from fans.
“God will guide and protect you Jashii, love the song!!” one person said.
Another commented, “I don’t normally comment but this really touched me, be strong my brother, God is in control.”
“Powerful beyond words. Light shines its brightest through the dark[est] of time[s]!” added another.
