Sean Paul Announces Canadian Leg Of ‘Summa Hot Tour’
Dancehall superstar Sean Paul will be embarking on the Canadian leg of his ‘Summa Hot Tour’ this November. His compatriot Chi Ching Ching will be joining him on the road.
The Temperature singer has announced five confirmed dates, which include: the Harbour Convention Centre in Vancouver (November 18), Coors Event Centre in Saskatoon, Canada (November 21), River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton, Alberta (November 23), London Music Hall in Ontario (November 24) and Peterborough Memorial Centre (November 26).
Tickets are currently available on his website.
Paul has been spending some time in Canada and recently had a moment to reflect on how many things have changed since his childhood, but just how other things have remained the same.
“My grandfather, Dr. AG Lee, moved from Kingston, Jamaica to this neighbourhood in Toronto, Canada in 1976. In 1978, myself and my father Garth ‘The Great One’ Henriques toboggan down this very hill,” he said as he showed the greenery in his surroundings.
Added Sean Paul,” The funny thing about this story is that my grandfather and my father are no longer here, but these trees are. I think we owe Father God and Mother Earth a lot more respect than we’d show; and just remember, we’re all just visitors here.”
The tour announcement comes days after Paul released a remix of his hit single Summa Hot featuring rapper Busta Rhymes and Dancehall deejay Skillibeng.
According to an official press release from the Grammy Award winner, he decided to “reinvent Summa Hot by enlisting the lyrical prowess of Busta Rhymes and the infectious energy of Skillibeng. This remix showcases not only their formidable talents but also pays homage to the everlasting confidence of women who radiate an unparalleled heat and are simply ‘eva hot’.”
It further said, “…Together, these musical powerhouses create a sonic masterpiece that is destined to become an instant hit…”
The Summa Hot remix was produced by Suku Ward and Dutty Rock Productions and distributed by ONErpm.
He also recently brought the heat to Guyana, where he treated hundreds to a memorable show.
