Capleton Promises “Fire Bunning” And “Righteousness” On Upcoming European Tour

The Fireman Capleton has announced that he will be embarking on part two of his European Tour, which will see him performing live at 22 shows beginning October 15 to November 17 at his Capleton Live in Concert series, for which he has promised “fire bunning” and “righteousness.”

At the beginning of the tour on October 15, for seven consecutive days, Capleton will perform along with his Prophecy band, first in Belgium, then two performances at Utrecht and Amsterdam in The Netherlands, and then another in Denmark.  He will return to Deventer in The Netherlands for another performance before heading to Nancy in France and then Neuchatel, Switzerland, to round off that week.

After a two-day break, Capleton will be at it again with eight nights of performances in France, beginning at the Salle des Fêtes Grand Parc in Bordeaux on October 24, Rockstore in Montpellier on the 25th, followed by another at the La Cigalière in Serignan, El Mediator in Perpignan, Les Insolents in Lorient, Le Mem in Rennes, Evenstar in Mouilleron-le-Captif and Le Splendid in Lille.

His remaining seven performances will span The Netherlands, Italy, the Slovakian capital Bratislava, with additional performances in France.

Back in August this year, Capleton had announced that he had resumed touring following the COVID-19 pandemic, and, according to The Star was “living his best life musically”, and was busy headlining some of the large Reggae festivals.

“It’s a joy and a blessing to me because it’s three years now I have not been to Europe. It says a lot for reggae music when I see that the people miss me and the message and the authenticity and soul of my music,” the Raggy Road singer had told the publication at the time, noting that he was billed to headline Spain’s Rototom Festival and the Reggae Lake Festival in The Netherlands, following his  completion of One Love in Austria, Reggae Jam in Germany and Nomadz and Nologo festivals in France.

The St. Mary native had also said he was bringing the same “energy and vibe” to Europe, where the roots reggae music culture is always loved.

Following his return to Jamaica, after the tour’s August 19 end date, Capleton had gushed about the time he spent in Europe, noting that he had received a massive reception from the patrons in attendance at the shows at which he performed, who “sang along, they jumped, they danced and waved”.

The Wings of the Morning artiste had also said that he had accomplished all he set out to do whilst on tour, including bringing back the authentic vibe and energy in the music which Europeans love and are accustomed to.

Capleton’s tour of duty is taking place even as he gets ready to complete his new studio album, new studio project in over a decade, which is expected to feature numerous duets with his contemporaries.

In January this year, Capleton had said he had been in musical overdrive, spending time in studio working on a new album, collabs with his contemporaries, as well as on approximately 30 collaborations with upcoming artistes.

Following his performance at Rebel Salute that same month, Capleton had revealed that the album had not been given a title as yet, as it was still incomplete.

“Wi just want di people know I a work pon it.  Wi know seh it’s long overdue an di people need it but, as mi seh, mi have a million singles out deh too,” Capleton had explained, adding that some of Dancehall and Reggae’s most prominent musicians were on his list, among them Beres Hammond, Bounty Kiler, Sizzla Kalonji, Morgan Heritage, Ivorian Reggae singer Alpha Blondie, Kabaka Pyramid and Chronixx.
