Vanessa Bling Cops 2024 Range Rover Sport: “I’m A Range Girl”
Dancehall artist Vanessa Bling has copped herself a 2024 Range Rover Sport SVR, opting for it over a Mercedes G Wagon.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the 32-year-old shared a photo of herself in front of the grey SUV in the showroom. “Last Night I had so much fun everyone knows I’m a Range Girl ✨💎 🔥🔥 #rangerover #vanessabling #heretostay #chosen,” she wrote.
Last month, the Future Guaranteed singer had consulted her fans on Instagram, asking, “Tough choice… but if you had only one choice what would it be? Range Rover SVR or G Wagon?”
According to Forbes, the initial run of the new SV First Edition cars is already sold out after the first year of production. “That strong early interest is despite the car’s massive £170,000 price tag here in the UK (the equivalent of $220,000, although US prices have yet to be announced),” they noted in July.
“The car sits up to an inch lower than the regular Range Rover Sport, is equipped with wider, 305-section rear tires – although they’re still described as ‘all-season’ – and the old engine of the previous-generation Sport SVR has been replaced by a new, BMW-sourced motor. A mild-hybrid twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, it produces a frankly absurd 626 horsepower, up from 575hp in the old, 5.0-litre V8.”
Forbes added: “The Sport SV’s optional extras list reads like that of an Italian supercar. There are carbon-ceramic brakes and even carbon wheels, complete with exposed weave visible on the spokes. Land Rover says the brakes save 75 pounds over the standard items, while the wheels save a further 78 pounds.”
Bling has received scores of congratulatory messages on the purchase. “Well deserved congrats queen,” said one fan.
“Mi love see likkle girl in big vehicle,” another chipped in.
“Congratulations beautiful! I know you worked hard to manifest this,” said another supporter.
Vanessa has kept busy all year. Her latest release Mood Swing, has gained just over 10,000 views on YouTube since its release.
She was also part of the winning ‘Rum Brunch Punch’ team at the recently concluded Red Bull Culture Clash, Atlanta. The other team members were Serani, Teejay, Aidonia, Govana, and Mr. Lexx.
Vanessa Bling, whose real name is Vanessa Saddler, was once part of the Portmore Empire, under the leadership of its founder Vybz Kartel. Back in the day, the young Dancehall singer went by the moniker Gaza Slim, under which she recorded her ‘ride or die’ anthems Anything A Anything and One Man with Kartel.
By the time 2011 rolled around, Vanessa Bling was one of Dancehall’s most promising young stars, who would go on to earn Jamaica STAR’s People’s Choice Awards for Female Artiste Of The Year.
She landed other hit singles such as Everything Fi Hold Him , Stop Gwaan Like Yuh Tough , and Independent Ladies and toured the world, appearing on stages from Germany to Israel and all across the Caribbean.
