Beenie Man Proposes To Girlfriend Camille McIntosh: “23 Years In The Making, But Finally Found My Forever”
King Of The Dancehall Beenie Man has seemingly announced his engagement to British businesswoman Camille McIntosh after two years of dating.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the Old Dog deejay shared a video of himself placing a ring on Camille’s finger, set to his song Simma, the title track from his 2023 Grammy-nominated album. Expressing his joy, Beenie praised Camille’s unwavering support and credited her for revitalizing his music and spirit.
“23 years in the making, but finally found my forever with Camille,” wrote the 51-year-old singer, whose real name is Moses Davis.
“She’s been my rock, lifting me up and supporting me through every emotional roller coaster. Her energy and light have brought new life to my music. I couldn’t have done it without her by my side. Forever grateful for her love and support. ❤️ #LoveWins #NewBeginnings”
The pair had made their relationship Instagram official in November 2021.
At the time, Camile explained that Beenie had found his way back to her after they had attempted to hook up over 20 years ago.
“Attempted 20yrs ago now it’s our new beginning,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Muting all negativities assumptions speculations hateful jealous envy emotions and focusing on growing our relationship for however long God has ordered it.”
Camille had also cleared up speculation and rumors that she was still involved with her ex-husband, a Dancehall promoter in the UK. “Both being single for yrs there’s no animosities between us and my ex husband….” she added. “I understand there’s been genuine concerns on both sides but in respect allow us to explore our journey without any public approval 🙏. We appreciate everyone for your thousands of best regards. God will always be in control🙏🤗❤️.”
She had also declared that she would not allow Beenie Man’s past “toxic” relationships to determine their future together. “In addition, whatever toxic relationships Moses [Beenie Man] had involved in the past I will not allow it to define our relationship!” she said.
Camille later clarified what she meant by “toxic relationships.”
Around 2000, Beenie split with Dancehall Queen Carlene Smith. They share a daughter, Crystal.
Beenie’s next public relationship happened years later, in 2005, when he started dating the ex-girlfriend of his then nemesis Bounty Killer—Dancehall artist D’Angel. The two married just a year later but are now divorced, with a son, Marco Dean.
In September 2023, Carlene and D’Angel accused Beenie of being an “absentee” father between 2016 and 2021, coincidentally the same period he was in a relationship with politician and public speaker Krystal Tomlinson.
After the birth of their daughter and Beenie’s youngest child, Xiah, in 2018, Beenie and Kyrstal called it quits in January 2021. Though Beenie stirred somewhat of a spectacle with the breakup announcement, the two seemed to have parted on amicable terms.
The deejay reportedly has 12 kids in total. In addition to Crystal, Marco and Xiah, the Dude singer’s dozen also includes dancer Desha Ravers, and up-and-coming artist Moses Davis Jr.
