Jayda Cheaves, Yung Miami Enjoy Weekend In Jamaica

Jayda Cheaves

American influencer Jayda Cheaves, as well as rapper Yung Miami were in Jamaica to enjoy this year’s staging of VaCae Weekend on the north coast.

This was Jayda’s first time returning to the island since 2021, when she and her associate Gregory Wright were charged by the police for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition after two guns and 15 rounds total were found before their departure. They were subsequently fined J$800,000 each, or 12 months in prison upon pleading guilty.

Although Jayda (who is also known as Jayda Wayda) subsequently went on Instagram Live to declare that the attorney that she retained at the time kept most of the US$50,000 retainer she had paid, there seems to be no grievances towards the country. She was originally booked to appear at the Strictly 2K Music Festival— a throwback party that made up the weekend of festivities— but she stayed until today (Tuesday, April 2) and evidently had a ball while she was at it.

During her visit, she visited the famed Dunn’s River Falls in St. Ann, and linked up with Dancehall star Valiant.

Jayda Wayda also didn’t shy away from taking the stage to show off her sultry moves to some of the latest Dancehall tracks.

She was evidently a fan of Rajah Wild’s  Go Go on the Dutty Money Riddim.

Before she left, she left a love note to the island on her Story.

Meanwhile, Yung Miami was the guest celebrity at the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival on Monday night.

She opted to give a rendition of Act Up (which originally features the other half of the City Girls—JT) and showed off a bit of her twerking skills with directions from Dancing Rebel.
