Valiant Laughs Off Being Stuck In NYC Elevator
What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator?
Well, Dancehall artist Valiant found himself stuck in one during a recent trip to New York, and he was pretty chill, to say the least.
The Mad Out singer took to Instagram Live to share the experience, maintaining a jovial demeanor as usual. “We jus’ a hol’ a vibes. Yeah, wi deh yah,” he said. “Sometimes when mi see dem rocky road yah a some blessings a come an’ di devil a try stop yuh, a lie?”
The in-demand deejay did, however, admit that he was nervous but was adamant about keeping his cool. Luckily, members of his team were also present to make the situation more bearable.
“Mi nuh know a wah dis! Yuh see why yuh nuh fi bl**dcl**t sell out yuh country? Don’t sell out yuh country enuh,” he jokingly told one of his team members.
Eventually, the artist was rescued by members of the fire department.
All’s well that ends well! The deejay posted photos from the Big Apple decked out in a white Budweiser fit, and hanging with his cronies.
In another series of photos, he could be seen being escorted by security personnel to what appeared to be a club.
Some online users related to Valiant’s easygoing approach in the chaotic situation.
“One ting wid Jamaicans we just laugh and vibe in certain situations we can’t control, especially when we have God by our side. No sorries,” one Instagram user said.
Another said, “wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a song about this ordeal.”
Either way, we’re glad the artist is safe. Besides that mishap, he has been having a commendable year. Back in February, he won a MOBO Award (Music of Black Origin) in the ‘Best Caribbean Music Act’ category.
Amid his success, he also has plans to construct an art school to cater to those who are interested in the field but are bound by financial constraints.
