Bay-C Escapes Uninjured From Car Crash

Bay-C, formerly of the dancehall group TOK, is grateful to be alive after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident last night (Wednesday) when his Toyota motorcar overturned.

He was driving in the hills of Upper Irish Town, St. Andrew, Jamaica, when the incident occurred, leading to the car’s overturning. However, he left the scene completely unscathed.

While it is still unclear how the accident occurred, the artist said he is well and thankful for not sustaining any injuries.

“I am well. It’s a miracle, but I came out of the vehicle with no scratches or injuries,” he told DancehallMag.

“I have always believed in God and that I’m blessed. However, coming out of this accident, unscathed has renewed my faith in the Most High. It feels like a new chance on life and that I’m here for a purpose. Feels like there’s a mission that I still have to complete.”

Bay-C had taken to Instagram on Thursday afternoon, posting a video of his vehicle upside down on the road moments after the accident occurred. Comments poured in from family, friends and his industry colleagues with well wishes and prayers for emerging unharmed.

He posted, “Last night was probably the scariest night ever, but thanks to the Most High I crawled out of a capsized vehicle unscathed. Shaken up but also extremely grateful for things not taking a turn for the worse, I feel like I’ve been given a second chance on life. My mission is not completed as yet.”.

He had just returned to the island from Switzerland, a stop on his Flawless Victory tour alongside Xyclone. The duo collaborated on an album of the same name and have been to numerous cities around the world promoting the project, with more upcoming show dates.

Bay-C has also rejoined his fellow TOK bandmates on several projects, including a new track titled Machine and various performances.

He recently completed the music video for Badman, his collaboration with Devin Di Dakta and famed producer and artist Suku from dancehall group Ward 21.
