Watch: Shenseea Performs On ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

Jamaican artist Shenseea made her debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night.

Alongside three backup singers, she thrilled the audience at NBC’s Studio 6B with Keep A Place and Neva Neva, two songs from her new album Never Gets Late Here, which was released last month.

“Shenseea did her thing so proud of her. She slay vocals, background singers, and performance was everything,” commented one viewer.

“She doesn’t need auto tune, or an auto tuned mic. Nor does she need the background track or vocals to over power or be louder than her singing,” added another.

The singer previously made her late-night debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in 2022.

Shenseea’s Never Gets Late Here is in its third week on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, holding the No. 10 spot. The album previously peaked at No. 4.

The album’s first single, Hit & Run with Masicka, is the top-performing track from the 14-track collection.  Released in January 2024, it has amassed over 56 million views on YouTube and 14 million plays on Spotify.  The rollout continued with the solo tracks Die For You, released in March, and Neva Neva, released in May. The collaboration Flava with Coi Leray was also released late last month.

The project was executively produced by London On Da Track with additional contributions from producers C. ‘Tricky’ Stewart, Supa Mario, Dwayne ‘Supa Dups’ Chin-Quee, Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, Chimney Records, Banx and Ranx, and Rvssian.
