Vybz Kartel Laughs At Unsolicited Advice After Queen Ifrica Urges Him To “Humble Himself” Before God

Queen Ifrica, Vybz Kartel

Dancehall’s main topic Vybz Kartel has had enough unsolicited advice since his release from prison last month.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Saturday night, the ‘Worl’ Boss’ said such critics should focus on improving their own lives.

“Me hear say one bag a ppl have message and advice fi vybz kartel,” he wrote to the tune of his Badmind track. “Wul on, how unuh fi have message and advice fi a millionaire when unuh hungry n naked n struggling? Unuh need a message and advice to unuh self.”

He ended the post with a slew of laughing emojis and his post-prison signature message, “#GodistheGreatest”.

His sentiment came after industry peer Queen Ifrica urged him to “humble in front of the Almighty Creator” and not be used as a political pawn.

In a passionate Instagram livestream on Friday, the Lioness on the Rise singer insinuated that Kartel has not changed since his lock-up 13 years ago.

“No other God weh yuh bow to cya give yuh the freedom weh yuh pray fah inna private my youth,” she said. “Mi see seh from yuh touch the ground, a right which part yuh go in from, a deh so yuh pick up from sir…a ignore the Almighty creator who a give you favour. You come out a bat fi the devil out the gate youth…”

Ahead of his release, Ifrica had expressed her wish to see Kartel mentoring youth. So far, she said she’s seen efforts to disunite people every time he throws jabs at those who didn’t believe he’d be a free man.

“Unno a try set up one likkle war fi seh all who inna Gaza weh never support Kartel when him did in deh, now that unno come out, dem fi dead. Dat nah go work, a nuh dat unity we want in Jamaica. So, all of the words weh unno a throw fi continue that divide deh and continue fi divide the country and further split the country apart, mi a beg unno please stop being pawns for the system and come gather up unno selves together… A the perfect opportunity fi unite dancehall, unite all of the likkle youth dem under dancehall weh nah do things right. You, sir, after you get better, work pon your health, have the opportunity fi unite Jamaica.”

Kartel, whose given name is Adidja Palmer, is currently in St. Vincent and the Grenadines seeking treatment for Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder that leads to an overactive thyroid gland.

Another female artist, Macka Diamond, had told Kartel to focus on his health upon his release, adding that he should refrain from alcohol use.

The deejay’s first post-prison content was a video of him holding a bottle of liquor while in a limo with his Turkish fiancée Sidem Öztürk. Ifrica also had thoughts on this.

“The first thing mi see, you come out have big ole bottle of alcohol inna yuh hand,” she said before blasting his Fire Vybz grabba line.

“You cannot come out of prison after 13 years a come tell youths seh a tobacco dem fi continue smoke and continue drink alcohol… A dat yuh come a road fah? Fi come mek the Gaza nation fly out from dem likkle hole and come dead out? Or yuh come a road fi come continue the conversation weh seh nothing nuh deh a jail and badness nuh pay?”

Among Kartel’s first statements following his release was a cautionary message to youth to steer clear of crime. Ifrica believes this is part of his purpose.

“Mi nah tell you bout baptise and go inna nuh church, mi a talk bout humble to the Almighty creator…. Humble to dah source deh fi save yourself, your family and the people who you call fans…  Vybz Kartel, do not be the Antichrist my love. Be a son of the most high – that will look better on you… Don’t give no more to the devil youth. Unite the ground, unite dancehall, unite Jamaica. Be one of the biggest person pon dah team deh youth and den you a go see the glory of the most high shine pon you.”

Belizean rapper-turned-politician Shyne also recently shared advice to Kartel to move with humility, strategy and purpose.
