DJ Tom Booked For Vybz Kartel Concert On December 31
DJ Tom is one of the selectors booked for Vybz Kartel’s first concert at the National Stadium on December 31.
“It’s a great feeling to know that me ah go be part of history. It will be the biggest show keep in the National Stadium ever. It’s an amazing feel, it no get no bigger than this right now, to know that I am going to be a part of history,” he told DancehallMag.
The selector, Douglas Plummer, is excited about the prospect of showcasing his skills to the diverse international audience that the Vybz Kartel concert will attract.
“Ah whole heap a work me a put in, and this will be my chance to show what I can do with a platform like that,” he said.
DJ Tom is pumped up after completing his first successful gig in London, England last week. He was booked to appear at an event called ‘Shoes Game’.
“The England show was a successful one, great vibes, great energy, it was a good turnout. The vibes was right, the people gave me a warm welcome my first time in London, England, and mi shell the show and everything,” he said.
He jetted back to the island on Wednesday, just in time to play at his weekly event, Leggo Di Street Wednesdays.
“The event is growing from strength to strength,” he said.
DJ Tom is booked for gigs in Guyana, Trinidad and he has a tentative date in Canada.
Earlier this year, DJ Tom and his T&R Entertainment team celebrated the second anniversary of Leggo Di Streets on Central Road in Kencot, St Andrew.
“Thanks for the love and support that my loyal patrons, artistes, dancers and promoters, my T&R Entertainment team, colleagues have put into make Leggo Di Street a success. This support has put my brand on the map, without them, this event would not continue to be so successful, and such a big part of the weekly entertainment calendar,” he said.
