Blak Ryno Claps Back After Shawn Storm Accuses Him Of Clout-Chasing
Former Gaza Empire member Blak Ryno is rubbishing Shawn Storm’s claims that he’s a clout-chaser.
In a recent The Fix interview, Storm said the Real Stinga singjay has been trying to attach himself to the excitement surrounding his and Vybz Kartel’s prison release last month.
“You cya understand people sometimes bredda, because weh yaa try do? Ride off a wave? Off a momentum bredda?” the My Life deejay asked. “Mi nuh like dem ting deh. Mi will see seh you a try forward round mi now just because of the hype, and mi will literally pu**yhole you up, my youth, and seh, ‘Dawg, weh yah do brethren? Why yuh never waan reach out to me, my youth, before mi come a road?’
“Dawg, mi tek dem ting deh serious enuh bredda because if mi nah link yuh before mi come a road, mi nah link yuh when mi come a road.”
In an Instagram post on Thursday morning, Ryno, who has increased his livestreams and overall social media presence since the men’s release, denied the accusations.
“Ride mi own wave, stand on my own feet, turn down many contracts, never run to other sides, never run to police or media bout altercations, mi stand the pressure and keep it in the streets and out the public,” his caption read. “From money Ina mi pocket and mi have life, ME ALRIGHT !! #ME #RATE #ME 🔥 🔥 FROM BIRTH A ME AND THE LIFE CREATOR AGAINST THE WORLD !!!”
The Bike Back artist went on to double-tap the following comments: “Wish (sic) wave bro 😪 him not even have lil splash bout wave.”
“Remember bro YOU made the sh*t lit for even them to get shine. YOU turnt NY up, YOU had the parties lit, they got built off of your wave. Just keep doing your thing, either way you respond they’ll try to make you look like the wrong.”

Ryno also liked the sentiment, “Still the realest n the baddest cm out a dah camp Deh.”
Just last week, he shared screenshots of a 2017 Messenger conversation with Storm, adding a caption that defended his longtime belief in their inevitable freedom.

Meanwhile, Storm has made it clear that he is not interested in a Portmore Empire reunion, adding that he would not want to work with ex-label mates who never checked up on him during his 13-year prison stint.
Ryno was among a few artists from the now-defunct camp who spoke out on social media following their freedom. In a since-deleted post, he posted a photo of Kartel with the sentiment “One go!”
His relationship history with Kartel has been publicly tainted since he decided to leave the Gaza camp more than a decade ago. Still, Ryno insists the matter was overblown, and said he still has love for the man who brought him to the fore.
Despite his airing out of Ryno, Storm insists that he has no issues with any former Gaza member, adding, “yuh never hear mi do a song a diss nobody weh did inna Gaza.”
Still, Ryno wasn’t on his list of artists he could see on Kartel’s post-prison concert in December. Storm said he made the list earlier this year.
“Five artist name pon it, different from me, World Boss and him youth… Spice, Killa, Skillibeng, at the time, Valiant, mi nuh know weh him a gwaan wid…”
Again, his issue lies with those who weren’t consistent in contacting them before and after their release.
“We forward a road and we nuh see nobody a reach out, so we a big up who (did). Skilli reach out, (Chronic) Law reach out… Big up who reach out to me. Lisa Hype reach out to me. Me and Lisa Hype wull a vibe…”
He said he hasn’t heard from Spice but made an exception because “Spice busy a promote har album (Mirror 25). Big up Gracie.”
