The Marley brothers—Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian—are set to embark on their ‘Legacy Tour,’ marking their first joint outing in over twenty years.

Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier caught up with Ziggy, Stephen, and Julian during rehearsals for the 22-date North American tour. When asked about the timing, Julian simply stated, “No better time than now.”

Stephen added, “We’re always together. We’ve been singing together for years, maybe not touring like this very often, but we’re often singing together.”

Reflecting on what their father, Bob Marley, might think of the tour, Stephen shared, “Us singing together and singing our father’s songs is an overwhelming feeling. It’s something so joyful, no stress. As they say, five is one and one is five. We’re all one. That’s the type of energy you’re going to feel.”

Ziggy emphasized, “We’re fulfilling our responsibility.”

The tour will traverse major cities including Phoenix, Austin, Cincinnati, New York City, Toronto, and Atlanta before concluding on October 5 at Miami’s FPL Solar Amphitheatre. According to Live Nation, the setlists will feature a mix of individual hits from Bob Marley’s children and iconic classics from their father.

Collectively, the Marley family holds 28 Grammy Awards, including 22 wins between the five brothers.

Ziggy Marley boasts seven Grammy Awards for ‘Best Reggae Album,’ four as a solo artist and three alongside The Melody Makers, which included Sharon, Cedella, and Stephen.  He also won one award for ‘Best Musical Album For Children,’ bringing his total to 8.  His most famous songs include True To Myself and Love Is My Religion, and with the Melody Makers: Tomorrow People and Look Who’s Dancing.

Stephen Marley has the most Grammy Awards for ‘Best Reggae Album,’ including three as a solo artist.  He also won the category twice as the producer of younger brother Damian Marley’s Halfway Tree and Welcome to Jamrock albums and three more times as a member of The Melody Makers, bringing his total to 8.  His most notable tracks include Hey Baby, Break Us Apart with Capleton, Rock Stone with Capleton and Sizzla, and Jah Army.

Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley has earned 5 Grammy Awards, including three recognizing his solo albums in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category. His executive producer credit on Kabaka Pyramid‘s The Kalling landed him another. He also won the ‘Best Urban/Alternative Performance’ award for the iconic song, Welcome To Jamrock.  Jr. Gong’s other notable tracks include Medication with Stephen Marley, Road To Zion with Nas, Affairs Of The Heart, and BAM with Jay-Z.

Julian is the most recent Grammy winner in the family, having won the 2024 Award for Best Reggae Album with his album, Colors Of Royal.

The Legacy tour follows the success of the “Bob Marley: One Love” film, which has grossed over $180 million worldwide. The film won its first award, the Best Movie trophy at the BET Awards in June.

Ziggy, who produced the film, told ET: “BET represents the Black American culture and industry. He [Bob Marley] always wanted to get into that market, so that first award is like the holy grail. It’s not shiny, but it’s something very special. We’re looking forward to the others (laughs).”
