Nesbeth Stirs Controvery With ‘Str8888 Nation’
Reggae artist Nesbeth is making waves with the release of his latest single, “Stra888 Nation,” a call to action track aimed at resuscitating morality and cultural values in the Jamaican society.
“The mission is to resuscitate morality. I think It’s on life support or it’s in a coma. “Stra888 Nation addresses the erosion of moral standards while reminding listeners of the inner strength they possess to choose a value system that defies the popular trend,” he said.
Released on the Treble Fitz Productions label and distributed by ONErpm, the song is now available on all streaming platforms.
Nesbeth has been playing a role in several high-profile initiatives that underscore his dedication to the upliftment of society. These efforts include his recent appointment as the 2024 Ambassador for National Caribbean American Heritage Month, a recognition that highlights his influence within the Caribbean diaspora and his commitment to cultural preservation.
In addition, Nesbeth was chosen as a representative of Jamaica’s music industry in a pivotal meeting with Makhtar Diop, Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The meeting focused on the economic potential of the creative industries in Jamaica, with Nesbeth playing a crucial role in advocating for sustainable investments that could benefit both the local and international music scenes.
“It was an honour to be part of the discussions, I always try to use my platform as a catalyst for change,” he said.
